... So like. My dad took my internet, phone and ps2 away from me. So I gotta live off of my sister's crappy slow-proformance computer until my dad takes it away too. IDK what I did to deserve this, but having a life without internet sucks big time. I barely have any books to read, and I can't go to my local library because it's too far from where I live. I don't even have time for my school's library.

So what I'm saying is, my dad handed me a life.

And I'm gonna go through a withdrawl now.

... So did anything happen to you similar like this?

    ^^^
I have no social life. I barely have any friends, because I've always had my head infront of the computer screen or in books.

Books are good, but too much internet can be a bad thing, at times.

This kinda happens to me when I go on vacation with my family. The only technology I have is my cell phone, and the only people I can hang out with are my cousins. My cousins are basically the most social people I know and it is so difficult to fit in with them seeing as I am so... not social.

During those times I usually just call my friends or read a book.

Talk to people. You have a voice for a reason. It wasn't so you could not use it and keep all you're thoughts in you're head only to put on the computer. It's for communicating with living people.

Happened to me a couple of times...but it's not horrible to actually go out there and meet a couple more friends...and a real friend will let you on their computer! xD

Try using the time to develop your artistic talents.

Lol, my parents say the same stuff to me over and over again. "Stop using the computer to much, stop this multitasking by talking to your friends on your cellphone using up all your free week-end minutes, and stop blarring music with action-packed window shaking, and stop watching t.v. and flicking through so many channels, and stop typing with your laptop and your desk top at the same time, it's not healthy! What are all these tabs on the same window? You'll break your already semi-broken laptop and we don't have that kind of money to buy you a new one even though we just bought you brand new speakers with snazzy bass-action to blare your music even louder with! Does money grow off trees or something?! You'll blow a fuse and then we'll have no electricity and you'll have an earlier curfew because it gets dark at noon for pete's sake!"

    lol

    But they can't take any of it away anyways 'cause I do have a social life. xD;

D: But yeah, that would suck if that happend to me.

I actually did this once kinda.

For a month I decided to not go on aim, xanga, myspace, all that internet joy joy stuff. And every day of that month I wrote a journal entry of how I was feeling and stuff going through my mind. I still have those pages in my journal and I must admit that month was amazing. It's crazy how deep in thought you can get just with paper and a pen and nothing to distract you. I did get my homework done on time, too; that's a plus :D

Oh and afterwards when I went back on the internet I didn't feel attached at all. I stopped checking myspace 30000x a day and I even stopped using aim. I felt a lot less "bound" if you know what i mean. Good luck with everything! You can get through it. Meditate, it's fun.

Guys at work say i'm too quiet, i think my volume control is stuck at it's lowest settings. I remember when i use to be loud...*cries*

I recently got a banning on my computer, so i wasn't allowed on at nights. Play with it, do as your told & you'll eventually get your stuff back.

Well....as I say. You have a life, so why not live It?

Parents do this for a reason, and sometimes you don't understand that reason.
No offense but you should get out and make some friends. You cant live your life on the computer. Yes, books are good, but make some friends! And maybe make a time table for when you want to go on the computer!

Like I said, parents do this kind of stuff for a reason.

Kitty is awesome enough to handle work, being a mod, and beating off neds. If she can do that then you can survive without your internet, phone, and ps2 lol

    Thanks everyone! :]

I'll try to make new friends... erm, if my old ones still love me. I made it through school without getting anticipated to go home and get on the internet. And le gasp, I finished all my homework at school. (Yay me, I have no homework!) I found my phone today, it was on my sister's bed. (D'oh.) Now I can go call my friend and tell her what's for homework since she was sick. Then go off and read a few chapters of 'Twilight'.

I also found out my dad took my internet away because it was broken or something. So he's getting fixed. Argh, oh well. I'll just get off and read until bedtime or something. No sign of my PS2 though...

It would prolly help you if you controlled your life a bit. I mean, if you just spent all of your time in front of the television or computer, well, that's pretty sad. Education and an actual social life should come first.

Me? Well, I maintain an A- grade for my studies and I have heaps of friends. Oh, and my Internet actually works.

    :P
