I'm currently writting a book series called Past or Present. I'm also making a movie about the book but I'll post another thread about that. Here's a sample of the book. Long ago, the world of Hethendor was one of the first worlds to be colonized. It was a world that could be mistaken for heaven. But it eventually came to be that creatures of hell came to take over Hethendor. A small group of people fought against this empire. But in order to succeed, they would need some unimaginable power. A young man named Fil Sun went to seek such power, but it consumed him. He soon realized he was scarred with eternity. The great power he found, he called it the darkness. Others became lost to the same fate Fil fell to. They formed a group and called themselves Wights. Eventually Fil learned there were other worlds and expanded and formed the Wight Empire who quarreled against the Shadow Empire. Fifty millennia have past since Fil created the darkness and both empires still rage throughout the universe. The war named the Universal War is said to soon come to an end. But, a prophecy has not yet been fulfilled, and vengeance has not yet been taken. The light is only a small shimmer in the pit of darkness. Who will rise and fall? What bonds will be broken? And what will come to end this universal suffering? The story begins with The Rise of Men, continues in The Darkening Myst, and concludes in The Final Fall. There's the prologe. The book focuses on 3 characters. Xem Hethendor-A young boy. He is unaware that his life is about to change and he will be responsible for life itself. Clin- A dark prince born with no care of life or death. He searches for the empire's enemies and leaves no survivors. Fil Sun- The emperor of the Wights and dark lord. His inntention is total destruction of the Universe. His apprentice Clin, is his weapon of death. Comment and tell me what you think.
umm....well.... i saw the videos....but, i think i should wait around for the next one you make. with atleast 50 people involved. how much progress have you made with the writting of the books? maybe you should post a small fraction of it.
Yeah, the next movie is gonna be much better than the last. We are even planning on selling it on DVD. For my books, the first book has about 6 chapters done and the 2nd and 3rd have a chapter or 2 done. I haven't really been able to work on them since school started.
I'd be lying if I said the story sounded original, or if it sounded even mildly interesting on merit of nothing but that brief little prologue you've got here. Maybe I've heard about a guy consumed by darkness fighting another darkness to bring forth the light in a self sacrificial death that makes everything better one time too many but that's totally the vibe this thing is giving me thus far.
You seem pissy today, but then again I don't think I know you...but in all honestly, piss off. He/she is writing this book for his/her own personal enjoyment, so just lay off. I'm not trying to come off as a di*k, even though I think I am, but I honestly have to admit, I really don't think I give a fu*k either.
Actually that sounds like something jiku would say. anyways, that is exactly why i asked for a fraction...i didn't want to jugde this only on some things. Dedrica chill....GREE06 doesn't seem mad about it, so why should you? *shrugs* originality is a hard thing to come by....we write something...and then we find our layout has already been used....but what we do with that layout people call cookie cutter....to mold our own original story, is what gives it our special touch. but it's a double edged sword.....and may fall under because it lacks the originality an author gives.
Time does no equate to results, neither does effort. Either way, I'm not inferring or predicting anything, I'm really only going on what you're giving me, so things that may or may not come up later are really not in my thoughts. What Chervalier said. I acknowledge that but it doesn't mean I have to act like it's perfect or even adequate if I don't think it. It's not like I'm ragging on him/her(i really have no idea) just to get my jollies off, I'm giving a valid pinion and expecting a confirmation or denial of it, no more no less. And no you're not coming off as a dick. Same thoughts on the matter, I'm however content to go on minimal information, may be less accurate but it's easier.
Its not original (then again, what is these days) but I would enjoy taking a read since its not another dodgey fanfic.
