In the last couple years the hinges were breaking down, but it still held together. Last night when I flipped it open to set my alarm, it snapped in half. Probably a sign that I should look into to these new fangled smart phones that all the rage these days.

What's a flip phone? Like, touch screen on both sides? You get sick of one side and flip it over to the other??

    . . . . . Just kidding

I have had both an iPhone and an Android, tbh I'm not too concerned with what others had to say about them, I wanted to try both for myself. I prefer Android and I think you would too, but I really urge you to just play around with both for a while.

One thing I kind of disliked about flip phones was some of the people who used them. Oh, haha, you're "cutting" yourself with your Razor. Guh!

Anyway, I much prefer my android phone to a lot of the apple stuff (ipad, ipod touch, etc), but that's just me. It handles all the apps well, has a pretty good connection, and takes great pictures. My only real problem with is that I"m listening to music and there is a clear one second gap between songs. It's not a bother until you're listening to an album straight through and there are gaps between two songs where it would sound awesome if there was no gap.

It'll depend on what my providers have, but I'll check them out.

This. I have both an iPod touch & an older Android phone, so while not actual models they've given me a pretty good gist of what the iPhone/Android smartphones are like. If you aren't able to get both, I'd definitely say to watch feature videos on YouTube, or even go to a store and just try holding them out and playing around with the settings to see where your preferences lie.

I still haven't given in to get a smart phone. Mostly because I don't go anywhere that would warrant me having a phone in the first place.

I would always vouch for Android (my current phone is a Samsung and I love it to pieces) but I know different people have different preferences so it's good to try both and see which you like. Part of my just doesn't like the hype surrounding iPhones and the part of me that hates anything mainstream refuses to get one.

I miss being able to open a flip phone out and feel super cool when answering calls.

    I used to sell phones.

I chose iPhone personally because the UI is very simple and makes doing things quick very easy. Never slows down.

I want a Windows phone because the UI seems better, more customizable, and it has games from Microsoft.

I'll never really care about android because I use my phone when I'm on the go, and being on the go with an unapproachable UI, and speeds that go from amazingly fast to just frustrating. Not for me.
