358/2 Days Multiplayer Issues?

Hey, Figured this would be the best place to post it. basically ive been having a few issues while trying to use multiplayer. Ive come up with a few possible reasons and was wondering if anyone can help? ^^
1. My game is American, Her's is European (both english language)
2. I am a higher rank in game than her
3. She is on beginner, I am Standard.
Can anyone help? thanks :D
(Really wanna do some multiplayer with Demyx >.<)

 

People with games from different regions can't play with each other, i've tried.
