Kso , I only recently found out there were higher quality vid's on the KH2 cutscene's to download , only because i've begun coming on a lot more. So , what i wanna know is. which format should i download? Because , the MP4 file's are smaller , but is there a difference is quality? i mean , what would be better to work with in Sony Vegas and what would have the better outcome? I'd rather spare memory for my laptop , but i'd rather have the best in my GMV'S :C Anyone able to pick and choose for me?

I say go with MP4. It's more likely to be used in whatever program you are using. I think it might be a little worse quality, but you won't have to worry about converting it should you need to move it.

I've noticed no difference in quality between the two; I'm pretty sure the AVIs are raw, but mixt did such a good job that if there is any difference I can't tell. =] It depends on what program you're using, some are picky about formats.

I've downloaded one of each format and they both seem to be raw , i'm using Sony Vegas pro 10. And it seems to load MP4's audio and video faster than AVI'S , i have to wait about 3 minute's for the audio to load up so i can begin properly editing , and since there is barely any difference in quality i think i might as well go with MP4 to save on memory.

Unless you use WMM, in which case use AVIs.

Either that's a very large music track or your computer is very, very slow lol

My computer is Actually really fast , but with MP4's , the audio track loads up within a matter of seconds , with AVI'S ,it takes , without exaggerating , around 1 - 2 minute's , so i doubt it's my computer.

I made a split test for the quality but you'll see there is effectively no difference at all. Really just use what your editing program prefers.

The audio streams are mp3 160kbps. That is very manageable so obviously the editor is converting it to a format it likes better (likely wav or mp4). Even so that should take maybe 15-30 seconds, not 1-2 minutes. I'm unfortunately blanking on what the problem could be. Is this happening for anyone else?

In my experience, MP4 has proven to be of higher quality, but it does take up a little bit more of space.

    MP4.

Check my above post, there is virtually no difference in quality. If you see any then you've either got a great eye for quality or it is psychosomatic. And the MP4s are a bit smaller in this case

Looking at file type generalities don't help much here, you really need to look at the files in question. I mean I could make an uncompressed AVI that will beat out any other video in terms of quality, but the file size is completely unreasonable. And then take the same file and compress it to nothing, but you would be hardly able to tell what was happening in it. And I have just as many ways to do MP4 files.
