Movies that don't end happily.....

The ending to Titanic and Pearl Harbor just gets me every time I see them.

 

oh yea! Titantic, i love that movie! the only reason i haven't watched it in years is because it's like 3 hours long

 

They were both overrated crap and they had both a nice ending

"Alone in the dark"
I think all of the Saw films (I only watched Saw 1, so I think all the films)
And many of Horror films

 

The Returner has an incredibly sad ending. Really, I even cried because it seemed like a life lesson. Or maybe an experience.

The girl disappears back to her time, and the man cries whilst also finding out how much the girl truly helped him. And then, the man gets shot, but the girl put a metal plate in his jakcet where the bullet would go. It ends with the man getting back up and walking like it was nothing.

No Country for Old Men has the most realistic ending of any movie i've ever seen. it's not dolled up, it's fresh and it's exactly what you didn't want to see transpire. Awesome movie.

Another one is the Sixth Sense. It's not all together a happy or sad ending for Willis or Osmond...it's closure. Both happy and sad I suppose.

 

The Dark Knight.

 

How the **** did I forget that one? That is one of my favourite films ever, I cry so so so much at Moulin Rouge.​

 

Agreed. My god, I love that movie it was so good. thought I never knew that Nicole Kidman coild sing.
The Dark Knight didn't have such a good ending either.

 

Well I just saw The Omen the other day and I do believe it fits under this category.

Not a particularly epic movie, but the ending to the film Panic room was sad to me.

spoiler ... I didn't like how the guy who saved the diabetic girl still got arrested. He was kind of a good guy after what he did. I probably think this is bad more than most of you coz i myself am diabetic and i knew the kind of danger the girl was in... End of spoiler.

i'm not sure if anyone's posted it, but cloverfield had a sad ending

the ending made me cry.

 

I Am Legend had one of the saddest endings (the theatrical version) and it really had me disappointed whilst I sat there at the theaters. He survives that long just go get screwed over by the woman and her bratty son.

Dawn of the Dead had an ending that didn't end well since after they got to the beach they were jumped by hundreds. All of their work for nothing. All of the sacrifice.

Zodiac was one that I felt was unfinished, which I didn't think it was a good ending. It didn't tie anything back up.

Descent was a movie that I thought was going to have a sh*tty ending from a quarter of the way through. Once that chick sent that pick-axe into the other girl's throat and didn't even care for her made me pissed and the ending is what I felt about it.

Phonebooth was just terrible. C’mon, like a guy, no matter how psychopathic, is really going to go to all that trouble to set all that up simply because another guy is a bit of a **** and was trying to have an affair? I was liking the movie until we found it there was really nothing that had happened. Then it was just stupid.
