Quite a few people. Some threads here, many people on Imgur or Reddit or Facebook, etc. And the sad part is that much of it just comes from people posting "Let It Go" for the 10 billionth time, rather than having come from an actual discussion of the film.

 

Oh I thought you were addressing specific people in this thread.
i was like, nobody's bashing it what are talking about
But that happens with everything that suddenly becomes popular, it's not exactly unexpected.
And I still haven't seen the film but I think people just need to stop talking about it in general. There's a point where it becomes excessive and starts having negative effects and we are well past that point.

 

You watch movies in school now? What happened to learning?

...Even then. It still kind of sounds like something that riles up my old person mentality. Have to tell some punk kids to pull up their pants and get off my lawn or something now.

 

when i was in hs we would watch movies during the last week or two of school. after sol's when nothing mattered and nobody cared anymore and most people had exempt final exams. other than that we never watched movies unless it was a documentary or something relating to class

 

Yes, I could not agree more to this. It has become the cool thing to bash whatever is 'in' at the moment because we like to be nonconformists in times like this. I like the film for personal reasons, some people don't like it which is fine and being sick of hearing about it is fine too but saying it's a terrible movie just because you hate the fans and are sick of hearing about it is wrong. Again, this isn't really directed to anyone just a statement of my feelings.

There's always an opposite reaction to anything positive that exists for a long enough time. If you want an easy place to find an example of this, just look at Reddit, where even the most benign post can have 13,000 neg votes because it's on the front page.
Or the Xbox One. Everybody knew it was a terrible idea, but once they removed it you got an explosion of people saying people were jsut afraid of the future/change/new ideas etc.

It's the nature of humanity to hate anything that sparkles for too long

 

We had three 30 minute classes after five hours of testing- Advisory, Algerbra (teacher was at the hospital) and reading (where we watched Tangled :D)

Plus, I like naming all these movies. Some of the ones that are posted I forgot about so I can go watch them again. Like Land Before Time. I use to watch them with my sisters all the time.
