I made a Kingdom Hearts AMV on Movie Maker (With clips from this site) and whenever I go onto Finish Movie>Save to my computer, the program closes while it's saving. It never saves the file properly. It only saves one second of it. I can't use Video Converter websites because it's still a MSWMM file, and they don't accept that file. (I've tried loads of different sites) I've tried to save it several times now, and it still won't work.
First, the universal fix. Restart your computer. This should be your gut instinct fix when possible If it still doesn't want to work then start messing arround in the export options. See if a different resolution or aspect ratio works.
Try saving it on the program first. Then later just get the video and save it in the final stage or hard copy.
What version of Windows are you on, and what version of WMM (the version number should be visible under Help > About Windows Movie Maker)? Also, if I recall correctly Windows Movie Maker eats up a lot of memory, which could be causing problems. Do you know how much RAM you have?
I've tried that, but I'll try it again. ^^ How do you hard copy? It's version 2.1.4028.0 I have Windows XP. It says I have 167.10 GB left. The video is 61.40 MB.
That's hard drive space, dear. =] To see how much RAM you have, go into the Control Panel. Click on System to open the System Properties window. In the general tab, you should get something like this: Rendering a video hogs a lot of RAM, if you don't have a lot WMM might be shutting down because of it. Try it again with all other programs closed.
