The most nastalgia Part would be the opening to KH as well as the ending where Sora reaches out for Kairi and says hell be back for her, and she says "i kno you will" (Que Simple and clean) :). It reminds me of the epicness i felt when i first beat KH and how awesome it ended up being and how i absolutely couldnt wait for KH2, but now i feel that way when i beat every KH game, i just cant wait for the next one. KH Series has the best ending IMO

KH1, Hollow Bastion. In its entirety. The level is sprawling and beautifully designed, the music is a masterwork, the twist at the start makes things interesting in that opening stretch, the bosses are grand and exciting, and the plot hooks are some of the most memorable in the series. The first visit was a many-hour venture, but learning to navigate the place never felt like a chore, and I took great pride in finding all the treasures and unlocking the shortcuts through the castle. I've scarcely enjoyed a game in history more than I enjoyed Kingdom Hearts during the Hollow Bastion segment. To this day, I'll still go back to a save in the Rising Falls and play through the whole thing, just to take it all in.

To pick out one nostalgic moment from a series that has defined me since childhood is a bit much. However, the ones that impacted me most as a player were End of the World (basically everything) and The World That Never Was. Both numbered titles had some of the best final bosses and overall endings that I've seen in a game and though many game-defining moments have been watered down in all my years of editing KH, there are times where I can't help but watch these portions over and over -- from scenes that were Final Mix only to moments that all of us were undoubtedly impacted by -- just to go back and experience the raw emotion packed within some of these fond farewells & heartfelt reunions.

I agree. Every ending has me looking forward to more, the endings in this series are masterfully crafted works.

I completely understand, I have so many memories with Hollow Bastion. I probably spent enough time there to rival the amount of time I spent on the rest of the game combined. Hollow Bastions theme, level design, and battle sequences will forever be burnt into my mind.

I wasn't just asking for a single moment, just the one(s) that you found to be most nostalgic, to which you've answered beautifully. If anyone has any others they'd like to include, feel free. I can relate wholeheartedly with your post though. I've not felt such heartache and passion in a video game before the Kingdom Hearts series, nor have I thus far.

Most nostalgic moment in KH is when Riku and Sora fight Ansem. They are real friends, and that fight is badass.

Roxas vs Axel for the first time. This was by far my favorite battle in the entire game, mainly since it was in the trailer it got me hook on the game.

    Right? :D

I loved the conflict with Roxas and Axel, Axel portrayed the whole... "Distant, reminiscent longing for a lost friendship" emotion magnificently.

The most nostalgic scene for me would have to be the scene where Sora agrees to travel with Donald and Goofy.
The "all hands in" introductions and the "all for one,one for all" scene. That phrase kind of stuck with them throughout the series.
That's where their journey began....that little spot in Traverse town.
Going back there in DDD brought back so many memories.

Right?! I'm currently on my first play-through of DDD and one of the first things I did after reaching traverse town was run up to the door that led to the Third District.
    Memories. Memories everywhere.

xD I'm so glad I'm not the only one. Errrgghh, I remember seeing that red door for the first time in KH and I ran around for about an hour, frantically hitting things with the Kingdom Key, just HOPING something would open the door.

    You and I both... .-.
AND, to keep the thread on track, this reminds me of how poor I always was in the first KH, due to my massive spending on anything that "sounded useful or cool."

    xD
I tend to save my munny in the games. Don't know why lol
So I don't buy accessories to help with strength/magic/defense or anything.
Kind of like the challenge of playing the game without any power boosts.
    haha
