Most Disturbing Thing I've seen...

Looks like another of Tool’s music videos! XD

Strangely though, I quite liked the morbid narrative and characters. : P
Though for a child audience, I would not recommend it.
But I know that kids have to watch or do something they fear too progress in life or they'll be like a kid all their life, and this is mild compared too many fearful things they could see in their lives, so it's not all that bad.

While the Satan character does show a good fallen angel and all, the multiple emotions shown, mainly anger, was a good way for the audience too connect and most likely despise the character. And like others say it's a Christian show with the slogan 'Say no to Satan, God has got candy' type thing, where we dislike Satan for death and destruction and should stay away.

Still, what I like about this piece is that at the end, after all the clay people are eaten into hell (the ground) Satan shows that even existence without humans, plants and over living things are still around. And even adds that 'we can make more' like humans from a Gods view are weak and expendable. Philosophical in a certain way, but maybe I’m reading too much into this.

 

I saw everyone's opinion.I agree with Repliku.He is right about mostly everything.

This is absolutely frightening.

 

I certainly agree.It was a stupid video,yet it did teach a lesson,so it has it's Pros and Cons.

 

It was quite interesting, in my opinion. Very much curiosity this brings up. :3

I agree. Speechless could be a useful term for this video.

I'd like to say "intriguing" instead, though. One must've had some strange inspiration to make a video such as this within this generations mindset toward the whole "Satan" bit, especially considering at least 40% of the world is Christian.

 

Yeah,and with that percentage of Christain people,it might have given that person a tingly feeling to make such a video.

 

At the same time, he could've had second thoughts knowing of such matters and numbers. :sideways:

 

Maybe he made it just for the heck of it,not even knowing about the percentage of Christians.

I researched it and found that it's from the Adventures of Mark Twain. It was based on his book "The Mysterious Stranger."

 

Mmhmm. You can't blindly trust/accept whatever's written in text on a Youtube video, they always twist, minsterprete, and put whatever spin they like on what the video is about or where they got it so they can have a shock value to attract views.

For one, it is not a Children's Show, it's not a show at all, it was a Claymation Movie made in the 80's. Secondly, it is not banned from television at all, and the story is based on Mark Twain trying to get to an appointment (I believe in the end it was Mark Twain's appointment to reach heaven?), and along the way he and various companions go through several adventures based on many of Mark Twain's own books.

This particular scene was based on "The Mysterious Stranger", wherein the main character has a strange friend who calls himself "Satan", and through the course of the book he has many philosophical talks with this person, similar to that seen in the video.

I also find it appalling that people with supposed Christian-values say, in response to the video's content, that the person who created it should be: beaten, thrown out a window, and/or hunted down and killed. Oh boy, you all sound like absolutely wonderful people, and you call the creator of this video someone who should be feared or ashamed? Look at your own responses to something as simple as a video with message or presentation that you don't agree with. "What should we do? Why, kill the guy of course!"

 

Quoted for absolute truth. Most of you are sick. This video was artistically amazing, not only the claymation but nearly everything about it. And at least do background checks on things of a questionable nature like this, ignorance in my opinion, leads to more evil then anything portrayed in this video.

 

I didn't even watch the clip, it was giving me a bad karma.

But puting Satan in a children's TV show? That's just plain wrong. The guy should be fined, but not harshley murdered or something like that.
