I agree... the only 'clay-mation' I like is Nightmare Before Christmas and Corpse Bride.

Yep.Here is why it was banned IMO :

    1.Disturbing

    2.Not a good cartoon

    3. Labeled wrong.

    My reasons are right there.

The way they portrayed it, it could only BE a children's show. Children learn their lessons at a young age, therefore the lesson wouldn't have been very effective to Adults, that's why it makes sense to be a children's show.

I think you're just looking at the "It's very creepy and violent'' factor.

After watching that video, why the heck would they want to go see Satan? That cartoon would scare them away from Satan, it is portraying Satan as cruel and dangerous and damn scary. It is not trying to get children to worship Satan D:

Also, if there is any more spam in this thread (and this goes for a lot of the posts people) then it will be moved to spam.

Well it seemed like it was making them worship him for a second.I get what the point is now though.

    Oh,and sorry for the Spam,CtR.

Yeah it is disturbing and stuff, but CtR shined some light on my previous thoughts.

It seems that the whole thing was to keep0 people from ever liking Satan.

^Thanks to CtR for the tip^

I only got half way through, but that was rather strange.

Judging from the posts, it ends with Satan damning them to hell?

But banned? Really? I would more think that it would just be really unpopular, so no channel would air it.

Actually, the ending shows him doing something completely evil, which causes them to get outta there.

*facepalm(this is becoming my catchphrase, isn't it?)*

But, yeah, after a little research, I found that it's from this. It's from Mark Twain's "The Mysterious Stranger," which, as I've heard, was one of the more morbid of his tales.

The show also features more kid-friendly and memorable books, such as "Huckleberry Finn," and "The elebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras Country."

Before saying that an entire show creepy based on a single scene.

The description in the video is very misleading. It is not a cartoon series, but a movie.

    Research people, research.

That was really disturbing... But it would make sense that its a take of on a book. It also looks like its not a recent film.(This is just a guess) It isnt as clean as some of the more recent films that have been made in clay-mation. And I doubt that it was made specifically for children.

This was pretty lame but it is like other fanatical Christian programs that are designed to make children fear. I'm not sure why some people thought the video is about making kids 'like' Satan, because it seems pretty obvious to me it was about resisting the temptation of Satan instead and that though doing bad things seems fun, and you are tempted to it...in the end it's very bad and you should fear it. That's what it meant to me.

There are a lot of things made like this to scare children and make them fear and well, learn who Satan is and that he's a scary being but one who lures people into false securities and into doing things against God and others etc. Most Christians wouldn't dream of subjecting their kids to such a thing and well, since I'm not Christian I find it even more appalling perhaps. But some people want it drilled into a kid's head so these are the kinds of ridiculous propaganda and all that evolves.

It was pretty well Clay-mated really. Just saying, I don't really think it was that disturbing, it was a bit off beat but so are many of the popular works of Tim Burton. I don't really think I saw a deeper meaning, this was just a short clip from a movie as someone pointed out
so I'll reserve judgment a little longer on it.
