if you want a long game the xenosaga series is holy heck long i literally got the game in arizona on one trip down there i was playing the first one from day to night for 3 days i think and only made it half way through the game. and the difficulty is varied to me, you can get through one boss like nothing and the next one will destroy you like nothing. in 3 every boss has a chance to kill you easily. and if that wasn't enough in each game they use a completely different battle style, so you have to learn everything from scratch in each game.

ironicly it's my top fav rpg series.

    Mafia 2.

It's probably one of the biggest disappointments of this generation.

    call of duty black ops:
One reason i chose this is because it seemed like they spent 75% of their time on the customization and it was just a let down. I am one of those people who say oh mw2 sucks, IW is gay etc.. but honestly i had 19-20 days played without getting bored and that is good in my eyes

    Halo Reach:

Honestly only liked it for forge and active camo....i thought the jet pack could have been better.

Need for speed (All after pro street):
I loved pro street for only speed races in the Nevada desert because that was the only interesting part. Shift was bad. and the others after are meh :/ just not like carbon was

    Certain Megaman Games:
I loved battle network, zero and the classic ones 1-8/9 but i mean the DS killed it i mean absolutely destroyed one of the best series ever i mean id rather have it end with BN6 than have the DS crap

    Everything after PS2:
Anyone else think the magic died. It just doesnt seem to click for me anymore i mean i beat kh2 100's of times, i played gran turismo 3 and 4 for days and days, sly cooper just plain owned, and cmon don't get me started with what they did to spyro....... its just wrong.
Basically do NOT change a good thing (three times over in spyro's case)

    btw psx ftw

Unlimited Saga: Square Enix game so I thought, yeah, I'll buy it to satisfy me until the next FF and when I first played it, I instantly regretted it.

i'll admit the ps2 is my favorite console and most ps3 games aren't as good, i haven't played many spyro games except the one that had the skateboarding levels in it, what did they do to spyro that was that bad, i didn't think you could go wrong with a dragon character.

Skate 1. I just disliked the feel for the game. It may of been the first out of 3 but still.

ok that i agree with, spyro has always had a lighthearted personality to me. the spyro game i played was on the ps1, it was a nice game with a wide varity or humor in it. the controls were decent and it was just fun. i got it on the psn for my ps3.

This is somewhat related to this thread, although it's not about disappointment:

When I first picked up Baiten Kaitos (the first), I was pretty excited. It looked like a decent game. Even though I knew the plot focused around cards, I didn't think they would have such a central role in the gameplay, like the battle. I was extremely disappointed when I found this out...until I played a few battles. I actually loved the system.
So yeah, I was expecting to be disappointed but was quite satisfied.

    Now, serious...

Final Fantasy XIII. Man, that's a very good game, but...I don't know, It just isn't a RPG!

Agreed. That game was dissapointing. I like Ventus, though. I only played his and Laura's story, then never played the game again. The FFX-2 disc and trailer was good though.

Sly Cooper: Honor Among Thieves. Totally took away from the experience of the first game. I felt as if it was just a filler to make it a trilogy, because I honestly couldn't think of what they could do AFTER the first one.

Every single Cocks of Doody game: First off, their stories are just ******ed. Secondly, wtf? It's not realistic at all, yet that's what everyone "loves" about it. Only one sniper bullet in the body would kill, regardless if it was compressed or not by the silencer. Then the killstreak awards are just...overly cheap. No vehicles? Gay.

Fable II: Wasn't nearly as good as Fable: The Lost Chapters. Fable III was the best in my opinion, dealing with decisions and how hard they are to make.

Said often or not, Shadow the Hedgehog was a bit of a letdown. Not as bad as Sonic Heroes, but still disappointing. I'm still waiting upon Sonic Adventure 3.

    Why everyone hating on FFXIII? I LOVED that game. So much hate ;~;

COD: Black Ops (I'm going to die now): I'm sorry, but I really didn't like BO. Pretty bad storyline, stupid annoying killstreaks (RC car, chopper gunner 9 KS? WTF?) My opinion, but maybe more camping that MW2. only thing I liked was the zombie mode.

Halo: Reach: Feels very bland. More like a Halo 3 v2.0 Forge mode basically an improvement of Halo 3, but nothing much new, firefight isn't even very fun, and practically a stall for Halo 4.

CODMW2: Does this need explaining? Here are some examples: Marathon, lightweight, commando- OMA, Danger Close, commando- the perk Commando itself (a frikin half-of-the-map lunge), AA-12, chopper gunner, stackable KS, and other things.

    I'll add more maybe.

Assassins Creed II: I still haven't gotten around to playing Brotherhood and don't plan on it. The first game was fun for me. The second one was eh. It had basically the same plot as the first game. Assassinate a bunch of people. The plot was somewhat more in depth in the second one but I felt like Ezio just wanted revenge for his family where as the first one you were doing your job for the Assassins. It was too repetitive, the fight scenes got boring but I did like the fact that you could swim, most of all.
    And beat up the Pope.
I most of all don't like how you can't just run around as Ezio once you finished the game.

Red Dead Redemption: It was a good game. It had different twists and turns. Once all the patches for the majority of the game were out it worked just fine. The abundance of dangerous animals was not fun though. I don't favor almost getting attacked by two cougars, then a couple of bears followed by a pack of wolves, especially when I've just walked out of my house on the ranch.
I also felt the end of the game came once John Marston got killed. I was quite sad that he died. The only thing good about his son was that he looked like Johnny Depp. I didn't feel the revenge on the murderer of John Marston was totally needed and that it came too abruptly.
