This. This so much. Granted if you know me I am in love with the game. But the Sacred Ashes trailer made you look like some crazy ass mofo who ca do crazy ass moves and stuff. But it turns out we get some weak battle system (for PC people I guess its different) Heck the trailer did not even get the character designs right. I guess thats what happens when you pay another company to do a trailer for your game.

Who was not? I pushed myself through this game just so I can play AC2.
As I am saying it. Assassins Creed 2 was also a little but dissapointing, Of course it fixed all the flaws the first one had and ultimately it was a very fun game; But I was dissapointed at the length and
how Ezio just turned out to be some unimportant tool/vessel.

White Knight Chronicles- So I rented it and I wanted to try it out. THIS IS TERRIBLE. I'm sorry for anyone who likes this game but it has such a cliche story and has horrible characterization; not to mention why make a character if all it is going to do is stand around and go 'durrrr'? seriously the character you make has absolutely no point or purpose in the story.

I actually forgot about WKC. Suppressed memories I suppose? Though with that ending it could be like Assassin's Creed where they find the mistakes and fix them for a sequel that a lot of people are waiting for due to a cliff hanger ending. In defense of WKC, it was designed to become an MMO once you finished the story. But creating a character that not only is not the main character, but doesn't even have any notable roll in the plot, was strange. What does being the friend of a wine courier have to do saving a princess exactly?

    Untrue, my friend.
Ezio was not simply the Prophet that the Codex foresaw would come to deliver a message to Desmond. He has a number of other notable achievements in his life. He avenged his family after such a long time, helped restore the power to the Assassin Order across Italy and took back a Piece (or possibly two) of Eden with him.
And if you're still not convinced, look at the new game, Brotherhood. Ezio goes on to help Rome experience the Renaissance and create a new, more powerful, Assassin Order for the future. I wouldn't count him as an unimportant tool.

From what I hear, Final Fantasy XIV.
I haven't played it yet, so I can't really say anything - but from what I hear it's just awful. I just need to play a littlle of it to make my mind up. Actually, I think IGN said the only good thing about it was the opening cutscene.

I will play a little bit to make my mind up.

Opening cutscene is amazing though. It will be a shame if that really is the only good part of it. Malboros scare me even more than they used to after watching that.

I've just watched it and it's AWESOME. And it would be a shame, yeah. If it sucks, I think SE have hit a new low. But from either point of view, it's still kinda kick ass....isn't it? And Malboros still scare from FFX. Stupid monster arena. >.<'

IMO, I thought it was way too long. So many missions that didn't need to be there, lack of decent bosses and the stupid Leechgrave.
It is the weakest yes - but actually, it's quite sad when you think about it. The losses of Roxas make you want to cry....well, make me want to cry. I've never been so attached to a character in a video game before I started playing KH.

Golden Sun. I'd heard it was a great game, but it turned out to be just incredibly boring. The story was uninteresting and vague, none of the characters had any personality (maybe except Garret, whose only character trait seemed to be that he was even dumber than all the others), and everything was explained in extremely slowly scrolling, needlessly long and pointless dialogue. Gameplay also had some annoying flaws, such as the stupid inventory system. The battle system was OK, but only really interesting in boss fights. There was also the slow as hell movement on the world map, and the annoying thing where a character guards instead of attacking if their target has died.

    TL;DR - I don't like Golden Sun.

Final Fantasy XIII, the story was just so... meh. I was seriously almost falling asleep at a lot of points in the story. And I love having variety over what I can do and control in battles but the battle system in this game was really restricting for me, I sort of got over the game after getting bored of pressing the same button over and over again whenever I fought a boss. Only thing I really liked about this game was the character designs for Snow and Lightning.

I don't hate the game, just a bit disappointed with it. :c

I had a few friends telling me that Golden Sun was one of the best RPGS that they had ever played so I tried it out for myself. It was rather boring. orz

I've played a little bit of FFXII and I think that was dissapointing. I hate the battle system, the storyline was quite bland, and Vaan was a royal pain the backside. It wasn't bad, just meh.

Agreed with both. It wasn't that dissapointing, but way too short. It's because they repeated some of the missions.

Need For Speed: Prostreet made me disappointed myself. I seriously thought it was gonna follow the NFS: Carbon storyline. Having Carbon follow Most Wanted's story.

i know at least a few of you will hate me for this, but i'm used to being hated.

donkey kong country: what ape dies in one hit, if you jump on a croc and even get it slightly off you die end of story. and even getting diddy don't help much cause if dk dies you got only him left. i'm my opinion diddy has a valid excuse he's just a little chimp, but dk is a gorilla for god's sake give him a health bar.

i mean think about it in every super smash bros to date dk is one of the hardest to knock out out of the ring, and i've seen him take some pretty brutal hits and live. i swear i've used ike's final smash on him once and he didn't die, yet in his own game he's a wimp? i'm not buying that.

and kh days, mostly because of xion but roxas got under my skin a few times too he seemed like a brat at times on there. i'm glad at least she is gone i hope i never see her god forbbiden face again. that and it hardly had that kh feel to it at times i was wondering if i was really playing a kingdom hearts game or not. and my final nitpick, why the hell doesn't xemnas join your team even once, he has the AI for it code him into the game with armax he has the AI to be a team member.

goldeneye wii: it's a shame that hey had to ruin a classic with those reaction commands, take those out and it would probably be decent. the quality was good the levels really did get alot of insperation from the n64 version, at least the few i got through, the dam, the facilty, and the runway. i was so looking forward to this game too, then as soon as a saw those wretched commands i almost want to step on the disk and break it. i was lucky to have gotten it back to gamestop in time to get the full refund, that trash wasn't worth the 50$ i payed.

But to be honest when crocs are in a game they do tend to be ridiculously long ranged death machines for some odd reason. Maybe every game designer ever is a Crocodile Hunter Diaries fan.

ah who is that guy and what does he have to do with donkey kong?

i only ever played the game at my cousins house so never actually wasted my money buying it, if i did it would have a bullet hole in it before it was tossed in the river next to my house. a game that ridiculusly hard without a decent health bar on one of the strongest characters in nintendo history is not worth any of my money or time. at least crash bandicoot could get that mask and survive a bit longer then dk could in his own game, and he was a tiny bandicoot.

It's Chris Redfield from Resident Evil 5 and it's a joke, tell your face.

That's in all honesty a pretty bad reason to dislike a game because it was hard and lacked hp bars for a boss, which a lot of modern games tend to have going on these days. Besides, isn't DK Country the game where you can buy jungle guns or something?

are you trying to anger me or something. i've never played any resident evil game thank you.

i don't know i never got past the first level to get any guns. and i don't like games that are so hard an average gamer can't get into. i like the easy to learn hard to master idea. at least let me get through the game without having to spike the controller in anger at any point. this consept at least lets you see the ending so the casual player can play it but only hardcore players can beat the game 100 percent, like kh2 is.

It is interesting how games have developed over the years. I would personally say that the skill it takes to 100% KH2 is about the skill level it took to beat KH1. And the skill level to 100% KH1 is a bit under the skill level it would take to beat old games at all. I remember playing games that easily ate up 100+ hours of gameplay. Most current games I feel take 50 or so to max out.
