That's some bad animation. They could have at least threw a hat on there and called it a Harry Potter reference.
If you didn't catch the joke it's because it looks like he's holding a wand.

The whole episode is that way for some reason. I imagine they were cutting corners to save money for the last few episodes.

But if an episode is crappy then I'm less likely to tune in next time ... thus a contradiction arises. If they put more money into the final episodes that I don't bother to watch then what's the point? That's be like not eating for a month to save money for stocking up on food ... I don't know about people sometimes.

Ok, well this came out around '98 so your standards for satisfactory television may not apply, and this is hardly targeting an audience who will diligently tune in weekly, assuming this even came out weekly, to watch the show much less notice tiny details only visible on a few frames, or even care if they did. And no, no contradiction. It's called managing your finances. If you have to meet a certain quota of episodes and know you want to end the season with a bang, you're likely to save a few bucks to make the last two-parter look great. Or, if you managed it poorly you may have spent more money than you should have and are forced to cut corners so you can afford it.

And no, that's nothing like that at all. As soon as entertainment is sufficient sustenance for continuing your life, maybe, but until then, no.

Cool story, bro? Two things, opinions and metaphors. Both of which I have many. To be honest in '98 I didn't even have cable so it really doesn't matter as my standards were yet to be set. You said the whole episode was like that which would entail a lot of animation cuts. Animation cuts make a show look crappy. Personally I won't watch a poorly animated show. And before you retort with 'everyone isn't like you' I specifically mentioned several times in my prior post that I was referring to my own personal opinions as opposed to speaking for a larger viewing audience.

    Opinions and metaphors.
