Site News Mobile style now available + cookies!

Hey all!

With our recent site update, our old mobile style was no longer available. I've just re-added a new one that should work well! It's nothing special, but it's good for on-the-go browsing. I haven't put really much work into it because we're still getting things all sorted out and done from the big software change, but I do hope to in the future!

Visiting the site with a mobile browser will likely default you to the mobile style; if not, you can reach it through the link at the bottom left corner of the site (it should say KH-Vids 6.0). It features a much more touch-friendly interface, less images for faster loading, and so on.

Don't like the mobile style? No worries--there's a KH-Vids Mobile link at the very bottom that allows you to browse using whatever style you choose.

We hope this opens up the site and makes it a little more accessible for those of you not using a standard computer. :] Not all features may be available to those using the mobile style (though a great deal are), so again, it's your choice to use it or not.

Edit: Also, I made some changes to the way the site stores cookies--some users were reporting issues with being logged out randomly. So you may have been randomly logged out now, but the issues should be fixed, just log back in again!

 

I'm having a bit of trouble with the mobile thing. I'm on an iPad and it just switched me to the mobile design (I ore fear the regular design). There is no link at the bottom, and I tried to change it in the preferences. Every time I try to change it, it doesn't change.

Yeah, it was an issue with it pre-selecting the mobile style for you--I just disabled the option. Figured it was better for people to opt-in rather than not have the option to opt-out.

EDIT: Actually, would it be possible to enable "Who's Online" for the mobile skin?

 

Unfortunately it's not available, but I do hope to find a way to make it such! For now though, you can find most of the scenes on our YouTube Channel.

 

Well, i could but i wouldn't know the order. Maybe you could put the links to it on a page, just not the actual archive?

 

As I said, I am working on getting it working on the mobile site. We do have playlists on our YouTube channel that I believe are in order, though.

You can, and depending on your mobile device, the cutscene archive should function.
