Mirror to Dreams

"It is too fair. I've been around to many guys to be able to see them as cute or anything. I can talk to them easier than most girls but um, romance isn't my place." Lavara laughed, "Although I do know how to tell a girl ever so gently that for the last time I'm not a boy." she laughed harder. "So, where are we going?"

 

Raven shrugged. "This place is really creepy, I wonder if they have maps...?"

 

"Maybe, that would smart. But here, let's just go to the common room. That's easy."

 

"Alright. I like that they have separate wings for girls and boys. And the numbers are easy too: even for girls, odd for boys. It's organized and creepy. What a nice combination." Raven said.

 

Lavara twisted her face to look a little creepy, "Kind of like robotic. Maybe we're the only real people here." she said in a spooky voice, trying not to laugh. wow, I can be open with them, it's weird.

 

Raven shivered. "Don't say that! You're making me think everyone else here is a shadow monster thing..."

 

Lavara giggled, "Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you."

 

Raven sighed. "It's just this place... It puts me on edge."

 

Lavaran sat down in one of arm chairs in the common room, "I can tell. So, what can we do to get you off edge, even just for a bit."

 

Raven smiled. "I so need chocolate..."

 

"Sounds good, all of a sudden, so do I." Lavara stood up, humming a ridiculous song, and got chocolate from the room's fridge. She threw some at Raven, "convenient, no?" she asked, with a bad accent.

 

Raven laughed. "The magic chocolate fridge." She said sarcastically. "Now that's something I'd like to have."

 

"Yeah, that's a perk of this place. It seems to play to our wims, besides being creepy of course."

 

Raven looked around as she ate the chocolate. "It's dark too... and all the lights are on."

 

"Here, maybe this trick will help." Lavara repeated her first shrill whistle and opened her palm. Light spilled from her hand as she directed it to the ceiling to light the room. "Better?" she asked cheerfully.

 

"Cool. Mine barely does anything." Raven conjured a globe of light green magic in her hand.

 

"That's still cool. I work with sound and light, as far as I know. I guess I had a lot of free time so I used to play with it." Lavara grinned, "It's fun to scare guys with it, chickens. What did you do with yours at home?"

 

"Pretty much anything I could think of. It does whatever I want.... except do my homework." Raven grinned.

 

Lavara laughed, "Ah, that would be cool huh? Yeah, all I can do is make light or mess with your sight and hearing, you know, illustions. Not you." she added, quickly, "I meant just whoever. It's interesting but not something I make a habit of, of course."

 

"Better than mine." Raven said.
