Mirror to Dreams

Lavara nodded, after giving her a skecpitcal glance. "Oh, that's too bad, I don't know why people are so against twins. I always wished I had one." she smiled at Raven.

 

She walked outside in the back looking around when she saw something that made her scream and fall to her knees, shaking

 

"Were you an only child?" Raven asked. Having a twin was nice and most of the time it was kids who grew up alone that wanted a twin.

 

Lavara laughed, "Naw, I had nine older siblings. But they were all at the least four years older than me and out grew a little sibling by the time I noticed."

 

"Wow... It's just me and Aiko in my family." Raven said.

 

"Lucky. That must have been nice. Always someone to hang out with, right?"

 

Takeshi was leaning against a wall,listening to the girls conversation.

 

"Yeah. We're really close." Raven said. Jeez, I making it sound like we are twins... How do I cover?

 

"That's awsome. So, who's older?" Lavara asked, keeping her expression steady.

 

"Aiko." Raven said truthfully. "A full year older." She lied.

 

Lavara nodded, "That must have been hard on you last year."

 

"Huh? Oh... Oh yeah." Raven had no idea what Lavara was talking about but she figured it best to agree.

 

"Since you were in school and she wasn't." Lavara continued, sencing that Raven didn't have any idea what she meant. I don't get why she's lying, but whatever. I like talking to her anyway.

 

"Right. Yeah, it was hard." Raven mentally slapped herself. I've got to get better at this if we're gonna pull of not being twins.

 

"So, I'm asking a lot of questions, sorry." Lavara laughed a little, "What do you want to talk about?"

 

"It's no problem." Raven said, not wanting it to seem like she was keeping a secret. "Do you believe in the stories of this school?"

 

"Which ones?" Lavara asked, feeling a bit dumb that she actully didn't know much at all about the school.

 

"About the missing girls and the shadow monsters." Raven said.

 

"Sounds plausible." Lavara said, seriously, "I hope we don't meet it now."

 

Raven was bout to mention the shadow she'd seen on the wall before the window burst, but she decided not to. "Same here..."
