Okay, thank you everyone for joining. I decided I better post this fast. Your first assignment; I would like you guys to read a small piece of scripture. It's 1 Corinthians 13:8; which is in my sig for reference. Then, I would like you guys to write a paragraph or two on how you can apply this scripture to your own life/past expierences. This can help break the ice with people.

Although I don't want anyone to rush on this and you can post it anytime you wish, I would like to have all of them in by next Sunday, which would be the 18th of April. I have to get off of my computer right now, so I'll post mine later.

    Thank you and God bless.

Chairity Never failith: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knoledge, it shall vanish away.
    1 corithians: 13:8

This speaks to me about how things I thought I knew, were wrong, and how things I did for god were always right. Before I accepted god into my heart, I thought I knew everything, I just did whatever I wanted to do, but once I accepted him. I realized that the things I was doing were wrong, and that he wanted me to do things for him. I thought I had my whole life planned out, but god showed me the truth, and now I know that whatever happens, god knows what he is doing, and I will do my best to follow him.

for another thing, I have some backgrounds I made once about god, would you like me to upload them here?

I'm not gonna lie, I had a hard time interpreting that passage. But after some thinking, I think I understand what it's saying. I'm reading the NIV version, so the first thing that it says is "Love never fails." I have a hard time understanding what true love really is, but I know that God is the ultimate definition of love. So I replaced the word "love" with "God", and now I think I understand it.

To me, it means that God never fails. Where there are prophesies, different dialects or earthly knowledge, the love of God stands tall. Not only that, but it over powers everything else. Even if something is giving glory to God, He is so much more awesome than anything we could ever see, say, or understand. He is completely unfathomable, but even though we don't understand Him all the time, we know that he has our best interest at heart, and he's in control of everything. He never fails, even when we do.

I don't have too much to say about it. Basically I want to add onto Peanut's second paragraph. Knowledge, for example, can be based off science which is constantly changing or it can be based off what you think you know to be truth. You can't know everything so if you act like you do, you'll make mistakes. Prophecies, well...you can't predict the future...that's basically it. And things about "tongues" that obviously refers to speech and communication...the only reason I see them to "cease" is when everyone's dead since...you can't talk if you're dead(or it could be about language barriers). << True love is a universal emotion and...I guess I could apply this to my life but there isn't much to apply since I've known all this for quite some time...<<>>

I like applying logic to religion rather than putting faith completely behind what the Bible says since...we all should know parts of it are either:
    1. Wrong.
    2. Circumstantial.
    3. Well...the Bible is missing a few books or so.

Thank you for sharing so far. I do admit that I interpreted it wrong in the begining too. I decided to relpace it with "God's love" which can be also mean "God"

For me, he's followed me my entire life, but I've recently began to follow him. I know I've repeated my story hundreds of times (some on this site) but it's a good one to share.

God loves all of us, andy when you really mean to beleive in him, he will break down the impossible walls.I have a heart condition, Hypertrophic Cardiomyopity (?), and i've had it sense I was born. The doctors have prophesised that I would die year after year. I am still alive, being a seventeen year old high school student. I heard about this thing I have for years and years and doctors still cannot find a reason why I am alive right now.

Thanks for all of your entries so far. @9Kairi9hearts: Yes, you may upload your backgrounds. I would really like to see them.

When I read this verse, I get reminded that no matter what I or anyone else does, it will fail. It will die. It will be forgotten. The only thing we can be sure of is God and His love. He loves us unconditionally. That means that no matter how wrong we get, how many mistakes we make, He will always love us. Heaven and earth will pass away, but his words will never pass away. And everything in his word points to the fact that he loves us. I'm sorry, Archawesomeman, You're wrong. The bible is the complete entire inspired work of God.Telling yourself that parts of the bible are either wrong, circumstantial, or missing is just another excuse to keep on sinning. Anyway, This verse is an amazing verse, and I hope you all think so too.

Marushi, the Bible was certainly inspired by God. But it was written by man. And before there was a way for a Bible to be in every Christian household, the stories of faith and God were passed down by word of mouth. And those stories would get changed ever so slightly each time they were told. Human error causes misinterpretations. The Bible is a good way to guide one's faith, but I myself don't consider it to be ultimate truth, by no fault of its own of course.

I agree that interpretations have changed the bible slightly over the years, but versions today are not interpreted from other interpretations. Versions like the NIV were interpreted by master scholars from original scrolls found intact after thousands of years. And even if the bible is not the ultimate truth, it's the closest thing to ultimate truth we have and I for one will hold on to it.

Thank you everyone for your fantastic stories. I know that interpreting scripture can be difficult and can very from person to person. Everyone thinks differently and can see one thing as something else. It also depends on which version that you decide to read.

Now that our exercise is done, I seriously don't know what to do. I guess we can have an off period from time to time where we don't really have to work on missions. Keep in mind that I will update it either on Sundays or Wednesdays. Just have fun on here and be a good Christian.

If you need something to inspire you, how about you tell someone else about God or just read the bible at school. My bible broke last week (weak spine) but before then, I read it everyday at school and everyday people would ask me about it. The more people who are willing to listen, the better. I'm not trying to make you guys do stuff, it's just suggestions.

Anyone feeling bad? Need a special prayer? Just let it out; or if your too shy, PM one of us. I want us all to be almost like a family. I wanted to start this to help people and I can tell that this will be a good thing in the long run. Anyway, that's it for me.

Oh wait! You can skip over this, but I created my on blog about being a believer. http://abrokenbeliever.blogspot.com/ Check it out if you want to.

    Thank you and God bless.

That sounds cool. I'm kind of torn between doing that or being a teacher.

Yeah. I also might have the option of going to the Moody institute in Chicago, but I think Christ for the Nations is better suited to what I feel called to.

Do whatever you want to do. By the way, is anyone going to (or have at least heard of) the youth convention in Detroit this year?

Hey guys; sorry that I haven't been on lately. I just honesetly haven't had much time to go on a computer. I have a cell phone now so I can twitter, messanger, etc. but hopefully I'll be on the computer much more.

Well, for the next few days, think about something Christ-like that you've done this past school year. It's about to end and some of us may be moving on to bigger things. It's a good thing to reminise about.

@Marushi: I don't know if you win anything besides scholorships to a Christian college.

Yes, I wrote a poem. I actually posted it here on the site a while back. "I Am a Child of Yours". It took some time to write but it was well worth it. I even got recognized in front of my church, the poem being put in each individual bullitin.
