Anyways, the game is not free, the game is made by Notch. Its a PC game of course, if you purchase the game you can play it on the desktop or browser. Also the game is a cubed shaped game that lets you craft things and mine stuff. The free version is missing some things like Zombies, resources, health, armor, etc. The game randomly generates a world and it is different for everybody. Also you need a decent computer to run this game like any other game.

If you have the game I would like to hear your feedback and if you don't you should check out the free version aka the "Classic version."

I began to wonder why there wasn't a Minecraft thread yet already... but anyway the game is pretty fun and simplistic. I remember the first time I played I collected everything I needed to build for my first house; wood, samplings, coal, crafting resourses...etc but unfortunately it began to get dark, and next thing I see is two random spiders out of nowhere kill me. :{ - Skeletons are the worst though. -__- This is definitely one of those sand box games, that are worth trying out. - It's cool seeing other players create similar worlds from games. Like I've seen Zelda and Mario sprites before.

I haven't bought the game yet, just played it over a friends house.

Well, my first encounter I saw Creepers, and I thought they were like green alien dogs but I was wrong. I didn't know anything about it except we can you can build a house out of wood, I had no idea about crafting or anything.

Late. Surprised that not many apparently play. .__.

I actually knew a lot about Minecraft before I started playing (picky). Had my brother there, too. It's really fun and creative. And very, very expansive. I eventually found this place, with much digging, that had like, five waterfalls and was practically swimming in gold. 8D

Then one day, I was innocently walking when Minecraft glitched and created this small, free-falling hole to the center of the earth that killed me. :|

I've played it many times before and it's very fun. Multiplayer is even more fun than single player specifically the one I'm in.

Griefers. Those people are the only ones that are keeping me from going online. What if I have a magnificent tower, and they stick furnaces, sponges and cobblestone all over it? D:

    Sponges? AWESOME!

I rather enjoy it, and for a small price of twenty one dollars, it's really fun and addictive. I might play this more than WoW and Rift.

For a moment, I actually thought you were getting paid to grief until you said WoW.

And, not sure what you mean with the sponges.

For those who don't know, here's a parody. Just for fun, and it's still Minecraft, so...

You can find plenty of servers that have mods enabled that prevent other people building or destroying your land. These are quite handy if you wish to keep an epic tower grief-free.

Do you guys watch LP's? I am quite fond of Yogscast due to them seeing a gap in the market, and establishing a well thought out story.

Oh? Then, I suppose I should give it a try, then.

As for LP's...no, but the closest I suppose is watching AVO grief. It's hilarious, but quite unnerving, imo. xD"

I've recently gotten addicted to Minecraft, and recently they've got their 1.5 patch out too according to Yogscast, whom I admit are pretty darn good on youtube.

Anyone in here play the game online though?

has anyone here tried making a structure out of glass? It's actually rather absurd when one is trying to look around, but actually gets lag from seeing through all the bricks...

It's kinda wierd when I'm building a tower out of it though... especially since it's layered...

There's actually a mod that gives you a separate glass dome for each biome, all linked by wooden bridges. I can't remember what it's called, but you can google for it. It's pretty mad.

Are there any projects you're working on at the moment guys? Think it would be a good idea to share screenshots?

I made a new world without an seed typed in so I got a random one, the view I got when the world spawned was just awesome.

I think I'm going to enjoy making another glass dome in this world.

I've been thinking about buying this since it's $15 at the mo. Is it really worth it? It looks absolutely silly but my friends have said it's incredibly addictive.
