    I suppose that's because we grew up with it. I have always known that was a possibility at a young age, but I haven't let it dictate my life. Constantly worrying about such matters would be ridiculous, as most people would never get caught.

    However, that does not mean pirating is right. So i suppose if you are doing something against the law in any way, you should be forewarned there are consequences. But since reinforcing the law hasn't been very effective in this area, it still remains at large.

    Ideally, the law is only as effective as the people permit. (Also ideally, no one should have, need, or want to pirate, but that's another point for another day.) The only alternative is an oppressive government which dominates its people. If it's a choice between two evils--and select dedicated pirates will likely endeavor to make sure it is always at least that--better to err on the side of the innocent and respect their privacy.

    I dunno, that's my two cents. And I'm probably biased because yar har fiddle dee dee.

    ...I'm a bit scared. I'll admit it, I used to torrent things, but I really did not see this coming. I remember joking about this with a friend. Not only is an invasion of privacy, it's also just plain morally wrong.
