Is it okay if you guys can add something else at prfile options? How about we add a Meebo display name for IM's section. I hear that place can connect yahoo, gmail, AIM, and ICQ, all the stuff you inputted in the IM section. That way we have one IM profile that has your other IM's saying you are online in one account! :3 Isn't that neat?

I dont really see a use to this...most everyone has an aim, yim, or msn....I had never even HEARD of meebo before this thread... So I think it would be useful to only a handful of people...

 

I've heard of meebo before but I don't really see a use for this. Since most people have Y!, MSN, or AIM and it really doesn't take that long to input all three.

 

I mean cause when I go to see someone's profile and see all three, I go to meebo and add all three of them and then soon once I come back I see I missed something. If we could just add teh meebo username, then all of them would be added with just one account.

 

But not all of us have meebo. That's the thing. You'd be asking members to download something they don't really need for your convenience.

 

The thing is, you dont have to download anything. Just input all your IM accounts and you got yourself an account.

 

that meboo thing sounds neat,and not to put you down but, since everyone doesnt have meboo, and everyone wont get this meboo, just because its neat, its sad but its the truth

Meebo, same as Trillian, is really just a convenient thing for the user. Everyone isn't going to really go get Meebo so keeping the IMs separated is probably best. If everyone had it, sure, it would be something feasible to do but not everyone wants to get it and some people only want one sort of IM or two out of the many out there so this keeps it more manageable for others.

 

*Shrugs* Not sure what that is. But I suppose it couldn't hurt. I'm not going to go ahead and calculate the amount of people who would use it simply because I don't use it.. Heck, it was just a few months ago I heard about ICQ. o_O

Mweh, It isn't really needed as with the lack of people here who seem to not even know what on earth Meebo is, I mean if you can get enough people who'd really find it helpful then by all means do so, but for one person who thinks it'd be useful it's kind of a losing battle you've got going here.

 

......... I didn't say anything since someone told me it was pointless. Can someone lock this up? I think it's bad.
