but when you think about it, wouldn't Mickey need an armor like Ven, Terra, and Aqua to travel with a keyblade glider? he doesn't have armor last I checked

 

...hmm. Good point. Though, he might just use it only when travelling. We've only really seen him fight a few times, and just as support.

 

But TVA only used it for traveling and in the final fights (and that was mostly for consistency after the secret ending).

 

yeah exactly. They used it to travel through planets when they used their gliders. If Mickey were to travel to other planets like that, wouldn't he need to have armor as well?

Actually, I just remembered something. Both Ven and Terra open portals with their keyblades and head off to wherever. Like when Terra sent Ven to Destiny Islands. Maybe that's what Mickey's doing?

 

This is a much more likely theory.

It works and it gives us an excuse for never seeing him travel.

Probably something like that. I'm betting it takes a lot to make a direct portal to somewhere. I mean, we see them make a portal and travel through the space inbetween worlds, but we hardly see them go directly, I'm guessing because it takes more energy

 

Us not seeing him see it doesn't mean he doesn't have one. If he uses it only to travel, and we don't see him travel, we won't see him use it.

This opens up an entirely new can of worms. The lanes between don't seem to do much other than allow one to pass through the barriers between worlds. Dark corridors we don't fully see much but seem to require you to go through something (Betwixt and Between or the dark realm). These those two instances, that the reports still claim to be lanes between, give us a direct point A to point B. Perhaps they are harder, but Ven was able to do it while comatose. I think it might be that the shorter you make the distance the greater the effect the darkness has. If that is the case I don't picture Mickey using it often. Especially considering that he cast aside the coat halfway through KH2 and he wouldn't go in unprotected. If he used armor for protection instead then we are right back at him using a glider.

 

The only problem is, we don't see him wear any armor. And I'm not talking about full body armor, I'm talking about those little buttons that TVA have. He doesn't even have that. So he can't have armor

 

Good bacon, we keep coming up with great ideas and then destroying them by ourselves. Can we agree that maybe Nomura forgot something? I really think it's the portal thing.

 

Probably either the shard, some kind of other portal besides a dark one, or a gummi ship, all of these seem most logical.

 

Sorry I was misunderstanding you. You have a point. Although it isn't logically impossible (having not seen something does not mean that it can't be done) but it seems unlikely that one could use armor without the trigger. I would call it safe to call it a no though.

One second. When we were chasing Mickey around in KH1, didn't we find pieces of his Gummi Ship in the keyholes and the like? Also, didn't the Ansem Reports mention how a stranger (Mickey) came in an unusual craft called a Gummi Ship?

So far it seems as though Mickey's a Gummi user.

Even so, in that case we can m8ke him a Dark Portal user. IIRC, there was something a8out Pluto and Dark Portals, so it follows that Mickey can use them too.

 

Well the blocks you find aren't necessarily Mickey's. Gummi Blocks are simply fragments of the barrier between worlds. Bit of a plothole for KH2, but there you have it.

But yes, Mickey using a gummi ship is looking like the most likely scenario right now. The only counterpoint I have is do they have a good supply of blocks at Disney Castle. The only gummiship we see come from there is Kingdom, and that was being used by Sora and company.

 

Yeah, we can't comment on what he uses now, 8ut we know that at least for a while, he did use the Gummi Ship, due to the Ansem Reports mentioning how he came in a Gummi Ship to Radient Gardens.

I think it likely that he has used everything from the Star Shard to Gummi to Dark Portals, depending on whether the game is BBS, KH1 or KH2.

 

But TAV didn't need the armor when using direct portals. They only needed it to travel The Lanes Between on their gliders. It doesn't matter if he has it or not, because portals like theirs don't require armor or protection.

 

Well by KH1/KH2 he does have a Keyblade from the Realm of Darkness. It's not out of the question that it's what protects him.

Also, I recall somebody mentioning that Namine is Kairi's Nobody and therefore shouldn't be able to use Corridors of Darkness. This isn't true. She is a Nobody who corresponds with Kairi's Heart. She is still the result of a Heart leaving Sora's body, and therefore (at least technically) Sora's Nobody.

Oh and we DO see a Corridor of Light at one point in Birth by Sleep. Terra creates one to Destiny Islands when he's protecting Ven from Master Eraqus.
