    "Let's focus on the little guys first. They sure can do some damage. Two of us'll take on a stump, and one of us will hit the big guy."

    The woods felt even more hostile than they had before. This was one of the Masters of Illusion, just as he'd been warned. Going toe-to-toe with the first of them was a strain on his nerves, because he didn't quite know what to expect. Was any of this for real... or not?

    Mickey took the lead and attacked Enchanted Stump 1.

    The yellow dog whimpered slightly, as his friend was running out of steam fairly quickly. At this rate, they wouldn't last too much longer. Though, it didn't have to stay at that rate. Pluto began sniffing the air. There was something around that would help them. Why it was there was anyone's guess, but that didn't matter right now. He pressed his nose to the ground and began sniffing out something of use. Finally, he found it. His paws dug into the dirt as he sent it flying behind him at an incredible rate. Buried beneath the dirt were healing orbs, which immediately sprung out and were given to the group.​

    "Way to go, Pluto!" Mickey endowed a reassuring pat on the dog's head for surfacing the healing treasure. "That's my pal. Good boy."

    Mickey laughed, feeling the revitalizing power of the orbs as they raised his health. The mode with which he went from cheerful to determined went so fast, it must have affected the Old Oak somewhere within him to see such a gaze come from such a happy-go-lucky, little guy.

    "Looks like you're out of guards," Mickey quipped as he finished off the remaining Enchanted Stump. "Just give up, wood you?"

    "Light!" Mickey shouted in response to the Acorns of Defiance that rained down on the party. Along with the cry, three bolts of light shot from the Keyblade and all concentrated on the Old Oak. "I warned ya. Nuthin's more powerful than the power of Light!

    Mickey used FaithCharge on Old Oak Tree.

    To everybody's surprise, the next help their little group got was none other than dog. To make matters more interesting, it was Mickey's dog, Pluto. Joy. Oswald's lips frowned slightly, as if disappointed from the type of help they received. The oak Tree thing declared the fight, and thus they began to fight mano a mano. Quick work was made of the minions, obviously and thus leaving the trio to fight the big ol Oak Tree.

    They clashed and hit away, but their endurance was beginning to run thin thanks to their previous battle. However, Pluto proved itself by digging up some good treasure that definitely turned the tide of the battle for the moment. Eyes widened a bit at the surprise dished out by Pluto. "Huh... I guess the Dog CAN help after all. Alright... maybe you're not half bad." Oswald managed, giving Pluto a respectful nod. The Black Rabbit gripped keyblade in hand, giving the Tree a big ol mean stare.

    "Alright then. Maybe what this fight needs is a good ol foot rubbin." he said, commencing to spit shine his right foot.

    Nothing much else to do but fight the new arrivals, Mickey thought to himself as he dashed to one and unleashed an attack before darting back to the formation. Ghosts. The translucent phantasms before him put a good amount of fear into Mickey's bones, but his nerves held. That attack from the tree had done quite a bit of damage as well, and he foresaw it being even more devastating the next time around.

    "We gotta be prepared next time the big guy starts rollin' at us. Somethin' tells me it's gonna get worse and worse each time we get rid of his partners-in-crime pals."

    Oswald getting a bit fed up with this decides it was time to put his foot down. Dashing like a mad rabbit towards the Old Oak Tree, the rabbits jump was displayed for erbody to see as he leaped into the air with bad assery and spiraled like a boss. On the final revolution of his somersault he extended his foot out and stomped on the the Old Oak Tree bad guy.

    Mickey had to support himself by digging his Keyblade into the ground and using it as a cane. The Old Oak was quite an adversary. When he looked to the others, he could see they were having just as hard a time as he did; they were all pretty bad off and beat up. That infuriated Mickey all the more.

    "Oh planty!" Mickey sang, biting back the pain. "You interested in a little sunlight to feed those roots of yours?"

    Mickey cast Faith Charge on Old Oak Tree

    With the strength of Pluto's howl, Mickey was able to unleash one powerful Faithcharge attack that not only defeated the Grumpy Old Oak, but also dispersed the rest of his followers! The Oak's brk was beginning to peel as he was wilting away from that last attack. "Can't believe I was taken down by a couple o' rodents and a mangy mutt... heh. Guess that's what I get for being cocky." He looked to Pluto with an intrigued expression with his left eye having already faded. "Guess I shouldn't have underestimated you eh? hehe..." He waved a branch arm in front of his faded eye. "Dangit," he said, realizing his demise. "Mizrabel's magic must finally be wearing off. Shame... I was really hoping to get that there promotion before I kicked the bucket. But that's just the circle o' life I guess. I like to think that somewhere I might start again as a small weed. Not that it matters much to you I suppose. We were just obstacles in each other's way after all." His arms and legs were fully wilted and his nose had just snapped off. He was nothing but a rotting stump with one glowing eye and a mouth now. "It only gets harder from here... If you thought an enemy made out of wood was tricky... You ain't seen nothing yet. Mizrabel will never rest until she-" The Oak's final eye faded and his mouth sealed shut. The stump faded away in glimmers of light as they evaporated into the air.

    The Party obtained the Grumpy Old Oak Card!​

    Mickey, it's Dreamer! I understand while the masters of illusion are apart of Mizrabel's Magic, they are still characters needing saving. I've given you a special gift that allows you to gain strength from the characters you meet and create a bond with. This strength comes in the form of cards!

    The Exit revealed itself allowing the party to move to a new hallway of the Castle of Illusion!

    It had been established a while ago that Minnie was a prisoner to some kind of wicked sorceress. She was sleeping soundly, only to awaken and find herself in a strange place that was not home. She was alone with no use of her magic. Though she was trapped in a pink bubble, it hardly dampened her spirit as she watched her beloved king win victory over the first battle.

    She clapped her hands in delight. "Yay Mickey!" Minnie cheered with a beaming smile. "Show them a thing or two of what a king can really do!" She was also happy for Pluto's help and a new friend she did not recognize, but she hoped to meet soon. She then turned to the sorceress and folded her arms over her chest, turning her head the other way and sticking her nose in the air. "When my Mickey shows up, you'll be sorry for capturing my friends and I."​

    "Don't be so naive young princess," Mizrabel scolded. "Your precious heroes have only defeated one of my masters of illusion, but there are still four that remain." She grinned as she peered into a pink, enchanted hourglass that was slowly releasing the sands from the top half into the bottom. "Besides, the spell is nearly halfway to completion. Your beauty and precious heart will soon be mine." She glided over to examine the four other mirrors in her room. Each one representing one of the domains for each master of illusion. "And perchance your Mickey does find the other five gems... that still leaves him with a dark looming problem..." She smiled as a dark shadow zipped past the halls to where Mickey, Pluto and Oswald were walking.

    "Mickey has been able to overcome many things. But there's one thing he refuses to fully conquer." The image of the dark shadowed stranger was revealed to Minnie and Mizrabel as a shadow version of Mickey himself! Shadow Mickey reached from behind his back and revealed a purple gem to which he placed in the path of the three wandering heroes. Disappearing before they could even spot him. The gem seemed legite, but why this 'Shadow Mickey' placed it for them, was still a mystery...
