Kingdom Hearts Mickey Question

was wondering why mickey was in the realm of darkness with riku at the end of the 1st kingdom hearts

is this going to be explained in one of the future games or has it been explained

i cant really renember much about the 1st one :P

 

Its because he and Riku had to fight the heartless, to keep them from escaping, and because he had to help close the Door to Darkness.

 

Which makes the real mystery how they got out. XD

Unless that was explained in Reverse Rebirth, which I never got a chance to play. But if memory serves, it wasn't.

Also, Destiny Islands reappeared right by the door. It's possible Riku was teleported to where it was reforming, saw the door, and went inside to find Mickey there. Mickey had probably come much earlier, having known where to begin searching for it.

 

well ansem gave riku a card that sent him to castle oblibion but i dont know how mickey got out or how ansem was still alive and outside of rikus body

 

He was getting that realm's keyblade. Sora's keyblade wouldn't have been powerful enough to close it alone.

It wasn't really mentioned in the US, but in KH final Mix, it goes into a little more details.
Nomura has express interest in going back and telling part of Mickey's story in the future. Mainly the events of KH1. Like how he got into the realm of darkness.

 

As the others have said, Mickey appeared in the Realm Of Darkness in order to close the Door To Darkness, which needed two keyblades, one on each side to be closed. Noruma will tell us more of this in the future, probabley a little in BBS, or Coded. Riku was sent there after he had lost his body to Xehanort's heartless. He closed the door, and was trapped inside, when something happened, and he appeared near Castle Oblivion, traveling the abyss, somewhere between Light and Darkness, I believe. He was awoken, and Xehanort's heartless gave him the card to go and leave the place, and he ended up in Castle Oblivion. As to where and how Mickey came out, I believe the manga said that Ansem The Wise (Diz) helped him, but I don't exactley think that was what happened in the actual game.
