I'm going to merge this with the other thread, seems pointless to have two on the same topic in the same section.

I won't pretend I am his biggest fan, but damn, this is a shock.

I feel almost like it can't be real, I mean damn :\

So was I. I was really excited about it. >< I thought he'd have a chance to redeem himself.

I was really looking forward to his comeback, too. I grew up to his older music. I love it. Beat it, Smooth Criminal, and Thriller are still in my top ten list. I was hoping his comeback would go back to his roots...

I'd heard all the jokes and everything, but I never hated him. I thought he was a little creepy looking, but a fantastic musician. I bet everyone feels pretty awful now about those pedophile jokes.

Listening to Thriller now. And it's so surreal. I keep connecting each line to his death. "You close your eyyyyyyes and hope that this is just imagination....."

Right now I feel the same way I did when i found out about the Crocodile Hunter's death a while back: I can't believe it.

I keep waiting for someone to pop on the news and say "LOL! Fooled You!", but I know they won't. It's just too surreal; my head's all "what what what?" right now.

They're doing an near-eulogy on So You Think You Can Dance? right now, talking about his early work (which I am totally in love with). My favorite has to be the album Thriller. They're actually doing the video for Thriller right now.

My heart goes out to his family; this has to be such a huge shock and loss for them, and I really feel for them.

Bad things come in threes, and on top of Ed McMahon and Farrah Fawcett, his death is the bitter icing on top of this cake.

I was really shock to see this.
I thought it was a joke people were doing on myspace but when I flipped the news on they were just ending that topic.

    I can't say I wasn't a fan.
I know half his music and make jokes about him.
    [who doesn't?]

But it was a total shock..

Well, when I first herd this like half an hour ago I was like 'This guys just pulling my leg, sure enought a quick google search confirmed my suspicions. Just.. wow.. didn't expect that.
I liked his music, but I never actully did get around to getting some songs on my ipod. I always put it off, cause you know.. he was a bit.. all over the place in his later years. But now I feel like listening to his music.
Despite the last few years he was a great singer, Lets hope people in 20 years time remember that moonwalking dude and not the 'lol pedo'.
    RIP

I'm going to merge this with the other thread about Michael Jackson's death.

I can't say it's a huge loss, I mean the guy turned into a bit of a creep, but I give him credit for his days as Pop King. RIP~.

Think this is how people should be looking at it. Lots of great famous people lose it near the end unfortunately.

It's a funny thing, when just yesterday I was thinking about Michael Jackson.

I guess the only thing that comes to mind that was great about him was his Thriller dance. Good times, good times.

I think Micheal Jackson is a very controvsial icon indeed.
It's sad to see him go though.
    He's too young to die.
I guess that's what drugs do to you though.

My little brother told me when we were listening to the radio. I didn't believe it at first. Then there was an announcement. He paved the way for everything about music that we know now. He made the first music video that had a story to it. Although i always thought he looked incredibly.....creepy, he was a very talented person. It's too bad he passed away so young. Funny thing....I think I was actually watching a few of his music videos earlier today. Remember the Time.

I was walking up my stairs to get a snack and I see my mom sitting on the couch watching TV. I'm like, "Hey mom, what's up" and she responds with "Micheal Jackson just died."
