I started listening to them around a month ago, and I think they are great! Their genre for the people who don't know is called psychedelic indies, and it is a mix of indie rock with some techno add-ups. Their most famous songs are ''Kids'' and ''Electric feel'', but my favourite ones are ''Indie Rokkers'' and ''Pieces of What''. What do you guys think about them? ^^ Whoawhoa take it easy tmm! i am human after all! ;D
Well to be honest, I haven't listened to a lot of their stuff. I do however like their song Kids. The background music would normally get on my nerves, but it's not too bad and works with their voices well. I also know Time to Pretend, and that's fairly decent as well.
I honestly don't get why people like this kind of music. It's like trying too hard to be abstract and sound cool, but it just comes off as freakish bizarre noise with no kind of musical technique to me.
MGMT is A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. I think they make extremely cool music, and to me it's definetely not your everyday music, it's not mainstream, and I personally think that's why some people don't like them. But I absolutely adore their music, the funky unusual sound and really good/funny lyrics. Electric feel is just wow.
I do like it. Their special electric sounds and tone mixes very well in "Kids." Overall, it's pretty good.
I've liked MGMT for quite some time now and I will always enjoy listening to them. Love the lyrics and songs like Kids, The Handshake, Electric feel, or pretty much anything off of Oracular Spectacular just gets me in a good mood.
I first listened to Electric Feel but didnt like it...but I heard a remix to the song *which in IMO made the song so much better* So I did a search on MGMT and saw a few of the songs...The only ones I truely like is "Time to Pretend" and "Kids"
Yah I love MGMT. I heard them when the movie 21 came out in theatres. But I need to get more songs. xD I only have a few.
