ZoE is great but maybe a bit dated in terms of gameplay? I'm happy for the remake and brings the possibility of a third game, but I don't know if i'll get it.
I really want the original to be remade as well, i've never been able to properly play it yet, and a HD remake would be great. Still that's not to say MGS HD Collection will be bad. I'll probably get it just because.

ZoE? Dated? How? It's still the best mech-fighting game in existence(to me anyways).

I personally can't wait 'till all those Metal Gear games are out of the way. I want ZoE3 to be put in production already. D8 Still, I'm buying the HD remakes ASAP even though I already have both games.

Transfarring will be included in the ZoE remakes, though I'm not sure how the controls will work for the PSP. It's been awhile since I've played the games so I don't remember if all the buttons are even important. Switching subweapons isn't for ZoE2 since Zero Shift makes everything else obsolete. << The control problems are the only things I see to be an issue. Though I'm still not sure how Transfarring even works. Obviously you transfer a save file from one system to another but how would you play it without having the game already on your PSP? Do you download it all on a memory card? Do you get a UMD along with a PS3 purchase? >>

The movement at times is clunky and could be more fluid being that you're in a advanced mech the movement seemed to suffer at times. The combat was great but at times unfair. The giant battlefield near the end was relentless in the amount of friendly damage you do to allies then enemies. And my god the atrocity that is the translating, the dialogue was read at times like a badly dubbed Japanese game from the 80's, reminded me of 'All you base belong to us' and it just kept bringing me out of the moment and the grip of the story.
But by no means a bad game, but not perfect, however fully deserving of a sequel with great characters, settings and graphics for the time. The level design was great especially the use of environmental objects to further navigate with.. To be fair I played it for the first time in 2009, and compared to the current gen games it's most likely why I I didn't like how it was controlled

Obviously the main details of what Transfarring is hve been given, so when the HD remakes are released we're going to get more intricate details about the entire system.

I guess I have to agree with you. Though once you get Zero Shift in ZoE2, everything feels like a seamless rhythm. To me at least. It'll probably feel faster in the HD version especially since there (hopefully) won't be any framerate issues though I don't remember having many. Only thing I really wanted was the dashing to be faster. It looked like you were supposedly breaking the sound barrier but after the first few frames you'd barely be moving faster than normal speed.

Unfair? The game is a cut above average in terms of difficulty. The only fights I had trouble with were probably in the second game. Deleting the virus and fighting Anubis for the second time(with Damaged Jehuty) were either frustrating or just hard(mainly the Anubis fight).

I never paid that much attention to the story or the lines. So I never noticed this. Since all the scenes are voice acted, I don't think the lines will be changed. D:

I'm still impressed by the looks of the two games even today. Though I'm hoping the style of the second game is kept since it surpasses the first in nearly every way. I guess it's just a personal preference. I really loved the control scheme and how the game just felt. I played it again last year and still had fun. D: Maybe I should dust off my PS2 and see if I can find what you mean. I really should play the first game again at least. >>

Yeah...guess we just have to wait on that. ;_; As long as we get ZoE3 one day!

Well, they were on the PS2 to begin with, so that's not surprising. Still, I never played them so the collection would be a nice place to start.
