I don't know how I should feel about this though haha. On the upside, I do really love the Metal Gear series, but goddamn Kojima really needs to stop making them. It doesn't help that Snake's story still isn't over. What happened to MGS4 being the last chapter of Snake's story eh? ;~; I want to see some new games dammit, preferably ZoE3.
But oh well. Maybe it's a Metal Gear 1/2 remake? Who knows.

 

I would love to introduce new characters in the same universe if we were to have a Metal Gear game based around the games, somethin like Kid Snake? XD

I will look forward to more, but likely to be a next gen console release, maybe that'll ad to it.

I checked the French source, to be fair the original sentence isn' t grammatically correct either. What he actually said is that MGS5 will have much more infiltration and espionage than MGS4, that the players will have to convince people to help them, and that he liked the social interactions featured in Deus Ex.

 

Where exactly can they go with Solid Snake though? Wasn't the whole point of the epilogue was to have the previous generation tell Snake that he doesn't have to fight and involve himself in war anymore? That there is more to him than just fighting?

At least the context of Rising makes somewhat sense since MGS4 ended on a far too optimistic ideal feel and the fact that there wasn't this law-abiding-manipulative organization keeping everything in check with PMCs and war could only mean faeces was going to hit the fan sooner or later.

Mixed reactions for sure. Love to know that another Metal Gear Solid game is (apparently) coming, but I also think Metal Gear Solid 4 had a really well-done ending to wrap up most of the questions we've had, and the boss battles were amazing against both new and old nemeses...who is left to take care of?

 

My guess is that this is not going to take place after MGS4, rather before MGS1. And you will play as Big Boss, with Solid Snake possibly just making a cameo as a teenager. It is never really stated that the game will have Solid Snake as the main character, or that the story will be about him.

Anyone seen the Big Boss image with the dog? This is probably that.
