Merlin

Ever since I saw the adverts on BBC I knew it would suck and now that it's gotten further in, it sucks more. It's so baddly inaccurate to the tales of Merlin and King Arthur that I almost rip out my eyes when I have to watch it.

Your thoughts?

 

Can you perhaps find the adverts on YouTube? I've never heard of it.

 

It's hard to tell if that's gonna be really good or a piece of crap. It's in the middle. xD

 

Heres evidence of it being crap, Merlin is younger than Arthur. WTF?

Plus side, they have the guy who played Gaz in Two Pints of lager and a Packet of Crisps in it XD (He was the knight in yellow)

 

The ending of the trailer was lame, but the actual movie looks like it could be pretty popular in the 8-10 year old kids area.

 

It's a weak as hell TV show thats on every Saturday, it has been for a while but I just had to say something about how bad it is.

I guess that it is not based on the book series then?

 

Yeah thats why I think it's a massive screw up, if you've seen it you too will think that.

More reasons why it's inaccurate:
1. Arthur is a prince in the series and his dad is the king
2. Magic is banned
3. The black knight is a wraith
4. the knights of the round table get pwned as soon as they appear
5. A dragon made excalibur and gave it to merlin to give to Arthur
6. Gweniveir (sp?) is of foreign culture

 

That's just screwed up! (excluding #4, that is kinda funny)

 

I know right, and if you've seen the other stuff I posted it shows that Arthur is older than Merlin, and other stuff.

 

I saw your other stuff and I agree with you. Merlin is suppose to be WAY older than Arthur. The writer's should do something where Merlin goes back in time about 50 year so he seems older than Arthur.

 

I don't think they can, it's the BBC they really have no idea how to do dramatic twists unless it's in soap opera.

 

Geez, thanks BBC. Now when kids watch this, they get the wrong story.

Yeah thats why I don't like the idea of it, they did the same thing to Robin Hood.
