Memories?

there's many memories that i have forgot...
there's many sad memories...
there's many happy memories..
memories about what i fear....

it's hard to delete any memories...-_-

 

Nah, all my memories need to be in here*pokes my temple*, no changing or anything, they need to be kept the way they are, no matter how good, bad, nice, or strong they are...they're only that, memories.

 

I'd probably change the really embarassing ones.. I've had a few silly experiences that I would rather forget :$

You i would.I'd erase my past and forget about it and move but then again without them i wouldn't have learned how to become what i am today.

To be honest I would like to have some of my more useless that I don't enjoy memories gone, but keep all the ones that have affected me in one way or another. Besides, I'd probably always be feeling like I forgot something. ^_^;

Compare this to Chain of Memories. It was so hard for Sora to choose which of his memories to keep.
I would never want to have to make that choice. Sometimes you have to take the good times with the bad. And bad memories just make the good memories better. And even if it's something terrible, that's all it is. A memory.

 

I'd wipe out my memories of that **** probing when I was abducted by a UFO. You may not think it, but aliens have cold hands and are very intrusive. They checked my prostrate while they were there. : P

On a serious note, i've forgotten too many episodic memories in my life and as a result I can barely remember what happened a month ago. I'd wish more for the ability to recover the memories I forgot.
And I've seen the drastic effects of losing your memories, just look up the case of Clive Wearing in Youtube. I wouldn't want to live with a life like that.

 

No, no matter how horrible the memories may be it'd be horrible to not remember an entire part of your past like that.

Anyway the thing I MIGHT want to change would not be the memories but the actual events themselves. I've always wished I could go back and change some events in the past. Nothing major like preventing WWII though. Just stuff in MY lifetime that's come out badly...

 

The truth can only strengthen a willing mind. I wouldn't alter my memories at all, or I wouldn't have the strength I have today. There is no memory so painful that it is worth radically changing myself.

 

Actually I would like to take a different approach in therms of my answer. Firstly I would like to question what the conditions are of the memories being changed. Do I know that the memories are fake? Do other people have new memories as well? Or is it just me? If I knew the memories were fake and it was only me who had the fake memories then I wouldn't change them at all. Same for if eveybody had fake memories - regardless if they knew or didn't know that they were fake I would still know they were fake and I don't think it would sit right with me. And if I thought the memories were true and it was just me it wouldn't be too long before I found a contradiction when I'm talking to somebody. However if everybody's memories were altered and we all thought that it was a real memory then I would probably change a few minor things However I would keep my milestones regardless of if they are good or bad. Milestones are major points of our memories. So yeah. That's how I would approach the question haha :P

 

No I would not change my memories, they are what have made me who I am today; without them I would make the same mistakes as I have before and would ultimately only have another memory I would want to change.

 

Call me weak, but yes, I'd forget most of the big events in my life before I was 10. There's too much there I want to be rid of.

Memories, even the bad ones, define who we are. If I erased or changed them, I wouldn't be the person I am today.
And that would pretty much suck.

 

Consciousness in humans come from the brain. In our brain we have many memories. Some of them we may not even remember until we search for them. In other words you could think of memories being chained together.
My memories make up me; wether the memories are of education, people, places, ect. Every person I have met has influenced me in some small way. Why would I want to destroy any memory that made me progress to today? I'll keep my brain the way it is.
