Memories?

If you had the chance to get rid of or modify a memory that you didn't like, would you do it?

 

It depends. It's all in the appraisal.

 

I don't think so. I like all my memories, no matter how happy or sad or whatever feeling it gives me. I like each and every one for it's own reason. The ones I don't like just made me stronger.

Not really THAT cheesy! Anyways, I would keep mine, because every bad memory has brought me knowledge of what to do right next time.

 

May have been cheesy but its true.

There are a few memories that I wish I could just get rid of but even if I got the chance,I wouldn't do it.Whether the memory was good or bad,it was still able to make me stronger.​

Every single memory that we have is precious to us.
Cause those are our choices in life, Our life actually.
The things [memories] in the past will also reflect the future.
Take your high school studies, get it good and you'll have more chances of finding a good job in the future.
So for me, the answer is no. Sure it would make life easier, but maybe only for a moment. Things could screw up after ._.

yes, i would. i would find a way to modify my memories in a way to get rid of some of my fears (don't know if that is tied to memory though).

No... I like my memories just how they are. There's plenty of things I wish I could forget, but it's not really a choice.

 

memories are what makes us unique as an individual, good ones give us hope and comfort and the bad ones help us learn from our mistakes.

personally, i wouldn't modify my memories, i do have a lot of bad ones but i've learned about the mistakes i made from them.​

No, I wouldn't modify or remove memories. It is through our experiences that we learn, if we erase the memory of that experience, we erase the lesson and could end up creating a memory even worse at a future date.

We can't change the past, all we can do is let it guide us in the future.

 

Just what I was gonna say too.
Small changes might not matter, but then what's the point in risking them?
Only a big memory would probably make a real difference, and I would never do that to my mind.

 

No because memories are a part of our past why change it when you can learn from experiences and remember for next time.

 

This is a good topic to bring up. Definetly yes, but only for a few embarressing memories.

Ain't that the truth. I hate some memories, but they make me what I am.

 

No. I have a few angry memories that I use for sports to get me pumped up. I would leave them as motivation.
