I can understand the people who felt bad for not getting a spot on anyone's list. I would have had the same reaction myself had I not changed my ways.

I understand now that I ain't gonna be on every single person's list. I'm not going to get to talk to every single person here on KHV, probably. Had I not been on someone's list, before, I would have thought that that was a sign that no one here cared about me. That no one had recognized me and I was just not fitting in.

Yet now, I think I would look at that and see it as a sign that I need to improve myself on the forum. That I need to make a larger presence for myself within the community. Complaining about not being added to a list isn't going to make someone want to talk with me. In fact..it's gonna do the exact opposite. People just don't like negativity. Instead, try to turn the fact that no one in the community put you on their list into a goal. And the best way of achieving that goal is sticking to a positive attitude, no matter how hard it may be. :)

This kind of thing really doesn't bother me anymore. Some people can try their best to be cheery, and it just won't work. I understand that. But instead of complaining, or complaining about others complaining, we should work to make the community better and bring a positive attitude to da table.

/rant. Now to actually answer the thread question: the door is always open with me. If you want to get to know me, I'd be thrilled. I always try my best to look out for my friends. ^.^

Then I guess I don't feel bad because I knew I wasn't going to be on a list? Meh

I'm not saying that at all. ><

For me personally, I wasn't expecting to be added on lists. The fact that people did, that made me pretty happy.

The old me would have expected people to add me to their lists, and had they not added me, would have been pretty upset.

I dunno, I hope that clears it up for you.

You would have been, but you a bit too needy to be that interesting. I'm the kind of person who approaches people but doesn't really like to be approached unless it's interesting or important...

    Apologies.

It's just the overall attitude. Like you said, the you I know clearly wants to be included in things... But that's just me. I don't like starting conversations without a topic, or a point of interest.

I hate threads like this. It's all well and good to hear about who does want to get to know who better and all, but...i can't help but think "Did i do something wrong? Why doesn't anyone want to get to know me? :( " when i don't appear on ANY list.

You're not that visible. And you're not on my list, because I already know you!

Honestly I find this thread silly. If you want to get to know someone better, talk to them. I find that I'm not on many lists because I know a lot of people on this site already. And even if I don't know someone I'm open to making new friends all the time, and it's as simple as that. There is no need to make a list because if I want to talk to someone I would. I don't need to publicly display my longing to be in contact with someone. Idk.

And hey, it's the internet. We're already connected in a way, so just chatting someone is practically a piece of cake :b

Good luck in life with that kind of attitude.

Makaze if you really wanted to get to know the people you listed better than you do now why act like the way you do? Is it for attention, the lack of self esteem, acting like a know it all on the internet, or just not having the skill to know someone with impulse control. Why do you always have such a way with words that sends people on edge knowing it will you continue to do it anyways. The topic is getting to know someone and you started the conversation. So saying...

I don't like starting conversations without a topic, or a point of interest.

Is invaild for the fact you caused a reply back with the way you spoke. I would really like to get to know you better though.

I really don't want to sound like a jerk, cause I'm not trying to, but I'm guessing he acts like that partly for reactions like yours...don't worry about it so much.

Anyway, I'm actually kinda surprised by being on some people's lists. I didn't want to say anything honestly, cause last time I did, in the "favorite members" thread, I got my head bit off...anyway, thanks guys.

I won't be naming names, but there are a few I'd love to know better. And if you do want to know me better, just send me a message or something?

Hang on reactions like mine are you serious? Someone else got into with Makaze, but you only point me out... Ok wow makes sense though because as you just proved every actions has a reaction. All I did was ask a simple question, but I think I understand what you mean by that it does make a lot of sense a very good point.

Thanks. I am not sure how it will impede me, though? You cannot take an interest in everyone or you will burn yourself out. Everyone takes interest in others based on personal preference. I am just a little more open about it.

That and my words regarding Scruffy should not be taken so seriously because my first impression of him was good so this second one is caused by my feeling pestered from time to time.

How is it invalid? I had a point of interest to speak of, and I continued the discussion. What I had in mind as a lack of topic or point of interest was this kind of conversation.

    "Hey there."
    "Hey."
    "How are you?"
    "I'm good. [A little tired/busy.] You?"
    "I'm okay I guess."
    "Mmm."

Then it dies off. This is because the person who approached me had nothing to talk about. I do not like it when people do this. I also avoid doing things that will not inspire responses. Is that clearer?

That particular post was not meant to rile anyone up, but I have a subconscious wish to set some people on edge and make others smile when they see what I am doing. Sometimes I do it consciously, and other times I do not, but it has nothing to do with my self-esteem. I do it because it is entertaining, and not much more than that. It is rare that I post with this intent alone, though. Usually when I do things like this, it is because I feel that they are insecure and that they need to work on it. I dislike it when others live with their insecurities. They should get rid of them one way or another as soon as they realize them. I wish to help them realize them if nothing else.

Hmmmm... I see so Makaze you're more into a formal"normal" conversation that has nothing to do with sparking up a debate. You never actual were clear on what type of conversation you were talking about that's the only reason why I said the points you made were invalid.

The thing I'm lost on is if other people's insecurities which you are tyring to expose to them is blinding them.(This is how I'm taking what you are saying.) If you yourself have to take time out from your day to do it. I feel that to be kinda sadiddy for the simple fact that you just want everything to be perfect and everything is the way it should be correct? So I'm still lost on how people always seem to end up in debates with you if you are just simply trying to either have a talk... Well a normal freindly meet and greet, disscusion to put in better terms. Or just trying to expose them to what they are hiding behind(Not really like this point so ignor it unless you can answer it that'd be great.)? Wouldn't people feel relieved that their insecurity has been pointed out brought into the light. Yea that would suck, but hey they will be able to open to you more making it easier to talk with them.
