Picked it up today, even though I wasn't all that sure about it. I'm just a big ol Mega Man Fan boy at heart! =P at a glance, it's pulling from the DS game spectrobes and is utilizing a sequence of touch screen commands found on special cards to unlock extra features and power ups. Could make or break the game in my opinion. Also, you can open the pause menu by saying the word "Browse" into the microphone. An intriging application of the microphone for the series.
I played the first one, and loved it. I'm anxious to get the second, but I'm a little short right now T_T. Got 'The World Ends With You' because I couldn't find Starforce 2 (wanted to get World Ends also, but I was really looking forward to Starforce).
I'm not, and I'm not saying it isn't a great game; I was looking forward to playing it, but I know more about the Starforce series, as well as the characters. Because of that, I was looking forward to getting Starforce 2 than TWEWY.
I'm about to give it a try. I picked up a wave command card kit, which gives you the code to every wave card in the game, and even a few secret cards. If anybody wants me to look something up, give me a call or let me know.
I like the ZX series better...I don't like the fact that in this alternate universe...Megaman EXE...he's just not as awesome as X to me. I like the Battlenetwork series...but I prefer good 'ol fashion 2D Megaman games.
Yes....and the same gameplay almost. Except that you can become different things based on "Models" for the first game. So...what's the main difference between Starforce and the Battlenetwork series?
Huh. Interesting. I like that "browse" feature. Sounds unique. ;D Not sure if I want to continue this series, sadly. I didn't like the first SF much at all. I hardly managed to beat it. So, I think I'll just pass it up. I suppose I'll get it if I see it, though. I could just play it for plot, I guess. xD SF is kind of like BN. The most notable difference is the battles. This time around, you battle from behind Megaman rather than from the side. You can only move left and right, instead of on a 9x9 battlefield, and the chip system is, again, very restrictive. Oh, and it's actually 3D. Instead of jacking into "computer" systems, you instead use another method to get into what is known as the "wave world" (I can't remember for sure o.O). It's not a digital system, it's an entirely different dimension where the main character is actually Megaman (or Mega in this game). Kind of an interesting idea, I suppose. I prefer the computerized method that BN uses way more though.
It's an advanced form of it to say the least. It goes along the idea that eventually, everything will go wireless. Why not the net? I'm just dissapointed that some elements, like the undernet, was taken out.
Just got it today and playing it already ;3. Kind of dislike the battle system though, you are very limited to movement. But I like the concept of the story and the wave world XD. Too, I hope they didn´t took too much from the Japanese Version Spoilers >Like the secret battle with Apollon Flame or the DX battles >.>, from what I know, they already took the small voice-acting in the game <.< (Played a bit the Japanese Version). I haven´t got further enought yet xD. Too, I am dissapointed for the undernet, I liked that area >:.
