ME2 CONQUERED

Oh you poor unfortunate soul.
I thought you were playing the PS3 version.
Just so you know, the Origin version of ME3 is incompatible with ME1 and 2 for Steam

I'm Commander Shepard, and this is my favorite store on the Citadel.

 

If you played Mass Effect 2 on Steam and not Origin, you should still be able to import your Steam ME2 save into ME3 with no problems.

If that directory does not exist, then create the new directory. Under Documents\Bioware, near the Mass Effect 3 Folder, create a new folder and call it "Mass Effect 2". Inside this new folder, create another new folder called "Save". Inside, move your save files.

Mass Effect 2 save files look something like this:

If it's any consolation, you could buy ME3 off of Origin, go to a website where they upload Mass Effect saves, find one as close to yours as possible, download, import it in ME3, change the class and appearance of you Shepherd to what it was and then play on.

The only work around i can think of so far. But you shouldn't need it.

There's a better solution. A save editor. A friend of mine used one because he lost his ME2 save, so he recreated it with that
