A collection of essays written by the essayist, David Sedaris (who frequently appears on "This American Life"). I had to read it for Creative Writing a month back, and pretty much loved the entire thing. The essays were built on self deprecating, but just enough so that people could relate and say "omg, that happened to me too!" But the essays also commented on the aspect of the human condition through simple everyday tasks like walking, or riding a train. I'd recommend them as a possible baseline to look at for writing the college essay (which is what I'm totes gonna do). Anybody read this or another of his books?
