It was a petty attempt to link patriotism with religious piety, to distinguish us from the "godless Soviets." But that was over a century ago... does it really make a difference now?

Yeah, that's definately not Obama. Like I said in my first post, he was answering questions with crit towards McCain.

 

I should be asking you the same questions. Have you also noticed that the media is depressingly Democrat-biased? Most news stations aren't a good source for knowing if a candidate is good or not. It's really only in the debates where you can get truly accurate information, but even their either candidate can lie. As for the ads, like RvR said, I can't even tell you how many times I've seen that McCain hugging Bush video as if the fact that they're friends is just so terrible. That's a low blow if I've ever seen one.

No, it's not. But it's the party that he comes from and who supports him. If you're going to make claims like this then you have no right to say that McCain is too similar to Bush.

You are wrong here. Marriage whether in a church, in your yard, out in an alley etc are not 'official' until you go to the judge and stand before him/her and declare your intention. Marriage was pulled out of the church's hands a long time ago. You are not considered married -at all- if you don't officiate it with the state you are in.

On another note, why are people saying Obama's messages are worse than McCain's who decided to also slander quite a bit with his own messages including one comparing Obama to Britney Spears and Paris Hilton? The door swings both ways, people. xD

 

No, it doesn't. It's mainly a symbolic thing, as in a greater power (not necessarily God, you can call it luck, fate, destiny, whatever you want to call it) is watching over America. It's not theist propaganda.

Wow. I wonder why they focus more on McCain then Obama. Is it possibly perhaps the fact that McCain is always giving out so many below the belt blows that they would rather focus on what he is doing then Obama? Not for nothing, but they have been covering things just right. I mean, honostly. The fact that Bush and McCain are friends is one thing, but since Bush is helping McCain so much, they can obviously focus on him. Not for nothing, but the dude is our president after all. If you are gonna speak at the republican convention, then you are obviously politcly speaking for McCain. Facts are, McCain goes after personal things that have to do with Obama. Tell me, when was the last time you saw an add that had to do with personal things that had to do with McCain? And don't go into the bull with him and President Bush, because that is different. huge difference between a hug and someone questioning if you are american enough to be president. Do you have any idea how insulting and racist that is exsactly? That is completely uncalled for.

How are he and Bush different? The difference between Obama and the group which you are rounding together with him obviously show a difference.

McCain and Bush have terribly similure polocies though. All McCain is gonna end up doing is continuing Bush's war.

I feel that voting for McCain will be like voting for Bush all over again. Obama rules!

During the democratic primaries when the idea of Barack vs Hillary came about, no one ever said Hillary was "incompetant" I think SHE would be a good alternative to Obama. I support Obama all the way, but I wouldnt be as angry if it were McCain-Clinton vs Obama-Biden.

I don't see what the big deal with Palin is. Hillary Clinton should be in jail right now for that scandal way back when, and Palin isn't as inexperienced as people are making her out to be.

The ads obviously are not enough, but I havn't even finished looking at everything else yet, so don't think this is all the material that I have.

IF you recall, I asked for videos of him dealing low blows. That Photoshop one wasn't exactly fair, but it was more of a humor video relating to how he changed the seal, which is a timeless classic symbol in the United States. The rest of the videos don't seem too bad. They just seem to support McCain and go against Obama... Which is the point.

 

I do, actually. The military is the largest purchaser of oil in the world. Will that fact change even if the war is technically over? No.

 

I know. I didn't even finish looking up all the vids yet. I obviously hate McCain, so let me put this into terminology that you would understand. How would you feel if you went through a half hour purely of having to listen to Obama? If you feel sick to ur stomach, then that is how I feel now that I have listened to so many McCain ads

Obama is a good politician and a good speaker. I just don't like some of his platform ideas and I'm nervous that he might not have the experience to run a country. In the delicate state the United States is in today, I feel that McCain is just the better candidate. If the United States wasn't in such a critical time, I'd be more willing to consider Obama...

He oversimplifies McCain's ideas for Iraq so much that it makes him seem like he wants to worsen the economy. That's not the story obviously. He just thinks that our allies in Iraq and a strike to terrorism as a whole is what must be done at this time.
