Kingdom Hearts II maybe nobodies do have emotions

ok for anyone who has played kingdom hearts 2 and watched the footage for KH2FM+ and KHRECOM they would have seen that all the nobodies act as they have emotions.

heres what i think, they have no hearts but they still feel emothings and stuff because clearly Demyx being afraid at times and Larxenas sence of humour is not just out of memories of have a heart.

so what do you guys think?

 

Yen Sid said that they pretend to have feelings, because they know how to use them and know what it's like to act and behave a certain way. And for the most part, that's probably true.

However, I personally believe it's possible for Nobodies (of the Organization XIII level) to actually demonstrate emotions in a geniune manner. They may not be whole beings, but I'm sure they're still capable of being their own individual; the only thing that holds them back from doing so I don't know.

But it's obvious that both Roxas and Axel have managed to realize this potential. It's also a good fact to note that Axel and Roxas seem to be the only Organization members who have actually shed tears over something: Roxas doing so vicariously from within Sora, and Axel in the new cutscene on the Twilight Tower. Tears are probably the greatest testament and proof of geniune emotion as tears aren't methodically developed and planned. They're created on impulse and for the most part as inexplainable.

So yes, I think they have the capability to showcase true emotion, but it requires probably a lot more work and self-realization than normal whole beings.

 

yes but its not just Roxas and Axel that act as if they had emotions. and i dont think that Vexen is just acting like his angry just to amuse Larxena and Axel

 

Maybe they do have a few feelings...or perhaps they act that way out of habit:p
Either way in my fanfictions I'm finding it hard sometimes to write about someone with no feelings whatsoever...maybe that's what Square thought too:p

 

Yep, they've got none. *ponder* Actually, I think it'd be a fun challenge to write about someone with no emotions... :)

 

Yeah, I figured that too. So instead of making a fanfic where they act far too emotional for their own good (which they tend to do) I try to make them act more "heartless":p

 

In an Ansem Report, he states that Nobodies pretend to have hearts - and remember what it was like. So they don't have emotions, but can generate them and possibly exhibit them such as Axel did.

 

Like stated before, they could act this way out of learning, and out of habit. I'd go into the entire thing about Classical Conditioning (although in this case it would've already been an established conditioned response), but that'd take to long.

The only reason I brought Roxas and Axel into discussion because unlike laughter, anger, etc, things like personal sorrow and perseverance are things that are not so readily learned. As well, even if Roxas and Axel by chance knew these from their original selves, it's quite another thing to implement such emotions to situations that are incredibly personal to themselves (the new scene with Axel and Roxas on the Twilight Tower is the greatest testament to their evolution as individual beings, albeit not whole ones).

 

all of us KNOW that the nobodys don't have emotions but if one see the organization, saix,xemnas and maibe zexion and xaldin are like they don't have emotions but the others appear to really have emotions. i think maibe axel have emotions and roxas but the other are a misterie. hope you understand
