I would love to post the picture, but copyright is a *****...

Anyway, it's a picture of different blades lined up next to each other on a table. The right most blade is shaped like a smaller version of a Buster sword, red hilt and even some studs on the blade.
To its left is a giant gunblade, basically looking like a gun round the hilt area, a part from a lack of barrel since their is a giant sword in its place.
3 other weapons are an assortment of blades, but even more interesting is the one second from the left. This looks like a Keyblade, like Ventus' blade if the prongs of the key went down to the hilt and didn't have a hand guard.

This prisoner obviously took inspiration from Final Fantasy games for the design of two of the blades, and it's shocking how they're all made out of matchsticks and were sharpened to be of actual deadly use.

I saw this in my Dad's newspaper and I just couldn't believe it.

This is really cool, actually. Although, it's somewhat dangerous if they really are sharp enough to inflict injury. Maybe they should let him do them, but with supervision or something because that is amazing.

From left to right, there's some Katana. Not sure where it's from. Followed up with what looks like Zabimaru from Bleach. Then followed by Zangetsu, also from Bleach. I don't know where the middle blade is from. But the other two are the GunBlade and Buster Sword, respectively.

Reminds me of some terrible cosplay recreations of the weapons, but given the circumstances of them being made by a prisoner whilst in prison does make it impressive. On top of that, they are allegedly lethal, which is surprising given the material they are made out of as well.

As what Chev stated, They are a Katana, Zabimaru, Zangetsu, Gunblade, and Buster Sword. However, I am uncertain as to whether or not the middle weapon is an original concept of the criminal, or if it is too from an inspired source.

You are saying you would feel happy letting a prisoner design and create possibly deadly exotic weapons if the guards were watching over him?

You can't tell me you don't see a number of faults in that thought.

Well by the time he's made six of these I don't think he was planning on using them. Not unless this was supposed to resolve in the mother of all LARPing sessions. But there really isn't a good way to allow the continuation, maybe after he is released he'll continue.

But how did they not know about this earlier? These are painted and everything.

I'm pretty sure far left was supposed to be Masamune. It is hard to tell at first since the key characteristic is the length and it is pretty short there, but he made the Buster Sword tiny so if you focus on just those two it looks right. But that would still leave the one slightly right of center. I don't know where that is from but the concept looks cool.

Those aren't weapons, they're crappy cosplay accessories!

These are pretty cool, though. Gotta say, I wasn't expecting to see those xD
But wtf, like Mixt said, they're painted and everything; the guards really didn't notice?

The katana seems to be modeled after Himura Kenshin's sakabato...a reverse-blade sword designed not to kill people.

But I mean...did the guards really think the gunblade was capable of firing something? A fully revolving barrel means nothing since it's made of matches. >>
I think they're pretty cool, and obviously he has no intention of using them to hurt anyone considering it the time it must've taken to make them and the fact that no one noticed. Destroying them would be a shame.

wow, gotta give the guy credit. He can certainly be creative with a few hundred sticks. I think it's pretty cool, even though it is dangerous. But how sharp can they be? They look pretty blunt in my opinion.
But he's got Zangetsu, Zabimaru, I want to say that's a sword from Kenshin, but I'm not sure, then there's Squall's gunblade, and the Buster Sword. I think that's pretty cool. Although, I think he also plays a little too much final fantasy and watches anime too much if he managed to get them to that exactness.

And he probably wouldn't have gotten very far, even if he had used them in some way to get out. I think they should be kept and put on display or something

    Thats pretty amazing actually.
I know what I shall do when if I end up in prison.

But I am confused as to how the guards didnt notice him making them...
And I love how he's inspired by FF games and other stuff...
Still confused bout the whole non noticing guards though.

I remember reading this in The Sun. I still have the picture that I cut out. The Gunblade was made really well from what I saw.

I'm surprised that The Sun didn't even notice where it was from. But it does worry me what he could have done with the weapons.

I too wonder how the guards didn't notice them before. And how did he get hold of matchsticks in the first place? I thought prisoners weren't allowed such "luxuries".

But I'll give the guy credit; that's one way of making your time fly by.

Oh wow. I wonder why he got imprisoned.

These actually aren't that bad, considering he made it from sticks.
