Mass Effect 3 will support Kinect.

I saw footage. It's pretty dumb. It lets you use your voice for something that required a simple button push before. Instead of choosing options on the dialouge wheel, you speak them, and you can say things like, Garrus, move up, and they will.
Doesn't really matter though, I just hope they put a lot of effort into the actual game.

Also, the gameplay looked very, very good. The melee attacks look awesome.

I thought the voice control was a nice touch. If I had a kinect I'd certainly use it. But the game itself looks fantastic in every way. Can't wait for this.

I don't like it much. I heard it announced and put my hands to my face. I thought 'no, have an open mind, have a look at it first'.
Saw the trailer and its implemention was stupid in terms of conversations, in the time it takes to say 'You're the best doctor around.' I could have started the conversation with my controller, not to mention bringing me out of the immersion, unless Shepherd is able to say exactly what i'm saying, then I don't want it.

However, the use of commands in battle is actually pretty good. You could take down a room of people with a full out assault of all the special moves, or sneak around whilst your team give some covering fire. That I like, but still, a controller can do it faster, and you don't have to worry about it hearing you wrong.

But yes, the actual gameplay looked great, ME2 but with a bit moreto it. Love the inclusion of more mellee then an elbow slap.

I'm watching the PS3 gameplay...and wow. The graphics are amazing, the soundtrack is mindblowing, the gameplay looks improved, the sound effects are awesome.

I think we'll be in for a serious treat guys.

KIDS IN ME3? The animation looks very smooth and the music sounds great. Mark Meer also sounds better.

My boyfriend and I got lucky I guess, the Microsoft conference stream was on waaayyy too early (like, 2am in the morning or something). So we just watched the EA one at 5.30am. We got to see the gameplay video live and decided to watch the Microsoft stream afterwards. Kind of glad we watched it in that order.

The gameplay looked frickin' awesome and fighting a reaper while on a moving turret was awesome too. I am excited for this game. I'm wondering what melee attacks are going to be like for each class. I'm particularly interested in Vanguard and Sentinel's.

Edit: Am I the only one that's really excited that they've gone back to the blue layout? I didn't really like orange too much.

It looks like if we go Renegade or Paragon it will influence the Squad. Maybe it might be like friendship/rivalry in DA2.

    *gasp*
    Party member morality? : D
It's like KoTOR 2 all over again, but hopefully better executed. I really hope this is true, it'll give interavtions with party members a greater depth and make you consider actions more. THank you for the images!

Instead of making a separate thread, I decided it'd maybe be a good idea to just post this in the ME3 thread.

The entire story and some juicy info was leaked. I haven't read any of it yet, but if you want to spoil it for yourselves, here you go.

This is the entire story from what I’ve been told. The next two links are just random info I think.

I heard that the multiplayer will have some sort of effect on the single player storyline. Kinda of reluctant to see what this will do. :/

Basically, I believe the concept is that in the single player game you as Shepherd will be collecting some resources in order to help the war effort. This will mainly be gained through completing side and extra missions such as rescuing a weapons factory and mining planets. This will help you achieve the best ending for the story. You can get the best ending with just single player missions but multiplayer can help you achieve this because multiplayer involves squads doping secure sites in the galaxy.

To tell the truth, I'm pretty much going to ignore multiplayer till I finish ME3's single player story. And even then it'll just be a fun distraction. Hopefully fun.

Here's some of the leaked beta footage. I hate what Bioware did to Ashley. I'm almost tempted to go back and kill her because of what they did. They did the same thing in Dragon Age 2. Gave characters hot make-overs when they should of left 'em alone. She looks nothing like she did in Mass Effect 1 or even Mass Effect 2.

Her facial features are the same as ever, the only new things I notice include a new suit, her hair being let down, a glossier skin and the application of a bit more make up around the eyes. But the glossy skin seems to have been applied to others, both men and women as well, not just her.

They did something similar to all characters in ME2, they were the same, but touched up in places to incorporate new graphical improvements.

Personally I like her a bit more now, she's a bit more fun and free compared to that army pulled back hair and no make up.

    God I want this game!

She's supposed to be a hard-nosed marine, and now she looks like she should be in Charlie's Angels.

I'm re-playing Mass Effect 1, and I killed her because of this.

Sounds just like real life, kill of those people that change the way you don't like them...
That's what James Vega is for now. He's the grizzled warrior built like a gorilla, and not the brightest bulb to boot. If you had two identical character types in your party to uncover, not only would that be boring for you but also for the writers it would be difficult to establish to marine characters that are hard nosed.

She's a Spectre now as well, and a lot has happened in the time between ME1 and ME3, maybe she's changed herself a bit in more ways then one. She's basically let her hair down and that's the biggest problem of all. I bet you she'll still be hard as nails on your ass, skipper.
