Phantom watched in awe at Scorch's immense power. "Quite the interesting little fireball, that one." Phantom said to himself. He seemed to have things under control, so Phantom directed his attention to Knightmare, who was spawning large army of shadow soldiers. Phantom moved next to Knightmare. "Mind if I lend a hand?" He asked the shadow mutant, eagerly hoping for a yes.

 

It's a good thing that he's gone. Sora thought seeing Phantom leave. With him gone the only problem left was Scorch. Even though he was outnumbered, he stilled use fire which probably made his attacks ineffective. Getting rid of these thought he decided to use the element of surprise to his advantage and strike when Scorch would never see it coming.

 

Demetrio looked at Phantom If you want to.... go for it he kept his army going in size, so long as his concentration held and he wasn't blasted with direct light he would be fine

 

Whisper had never moved so fast in her life, she leapt to one side and ran for he life towards the trees, she didn't know if they'd protect her but she just had to escape. Her confidence had vanished, she didn't know what to do, she couldn't phase through heat - there wasn't anything to phase through. She was phasing anyway, despite it not helping against the heat. She swore, just hoping she was fast enough to stay alive, not daring to look back. She darted straight through the nearest tree and did not stop. There had to be something she could do, anything but her mind was coming up blank. She would find a way but first she had to survive this.

 

All Ellie could do was watch at first... was this the extent of everything she could do? Was this how her life was going to be from now on? ...These people all around her own age were fighting... people were getting hurt, or at least they were going to be. These people... her fellow mutants from the institute. Were'nt they meant to be her friends?
She saw whisper have no choice but to flee into the trees. ...The fire was still after her, Whisper had no way of fazing through that...
This wasn't some big heroic moment planned in her head, she just reacted before she realised it.
She ran into the path of the flames and threw up another hastily put together Polarity Wall.
It took the brunt of the damage, causing the flames to disperse in various directions... but.. Scorch's attack was just too powerful, while the polarity wall held, the force of it all pushed Ellie back off her feet where she smacked into the tree behind her, hard. Just as his flaming attack faded entirely.
she dropped to the floor from the sudden painful impact. ...At least, I could do something... this time...

 

"Keep sending your shadow soldiers. They'll provide the perfect backup in-case this guy's got more tricks up his sleeve." Phantom requested.Since Knightmare was already doing this, he didn't wait for an answer, he just moved up. He stopped behind the opposing mutant, and attempted to grab him by the arms to stop his attacks so Knightmare's army could finish him off. Hopefully this light-spewing mutant wasn't strong enough to break free.

 

Scorch could have let out a growl. Even if the first girl avoided the attack, he would have set the forest on fire. But the other girl countered his attack and it faded. And now he was panting. That last attack took a lot of energy. "Freakin' females," he muttered as he took a step back, trying to see who was left to fight.

"Forget about me?" Wolfman growled as he fell from the air behind Knightmare. If they couldn't defeat the shadow soldiers, then he decided to go to the source. He stood up straight, towering over Knightmare in his werewolf form, his necklace hanging form his neck was eyelevel with Knightmare, a testament to his size. "Go...DOWN!" He swung a massive paw sideways at Knightmare.

 

Feral saw his opportunity and took it, sprinting towards the fire-mutant and leaping at his chest, talons bared and ready to tear him to shreds if given the opportunity. He wouldn't do anything too irrepairable, you only kill when you have to, to eat or to defend yourself and pack, not because somebody was an enemy. Besides, if this mutant controlled heat and flames then he would be able to seal up his own laceration wounds. Painfully, and they would scar like crazy, but they'd seal nonetheless.

 

Demetrio heard the loud werewolf and teleported high in the air but he lost his concentration and most of the soldiers vanished gah... a little help? kinda hard to fight here. he tried to regain his aura but it was going slow and having to keep doing this was a serious drain

 

Whisper ran. As she felt the heat weaken she risked a glance over her shoulder to see what was happening and saw Ellie protecting her before getting thrown back into a tree. She stopped running and paused to get her breath back, she couldn't believe that girl had done that to save her life. She smiled and made a mental note to thank her and that she owed her. Although she didn't dare go back to that fire mutant, her powers were useless against him and what was there to stop him doing the exact same again. She'd never felt so powerless and weak before, if Ellie hadn't stepped in she would have been dead. All the training they ad done, this is what it come down to. She shook her head, she wasn't going to go back there, there were other mutants they were fighting, surely she could help with one of the others.

She walked through the forest towards the other fights, recovering and not phasing as she did. She got there just in time to see Phantom attempt to grab Whiteout. She didn't know exactly what she doing yet but she ran out of the trees shouting, "Hey, get you dirty hands off him!" She wasn't half as confident as before but she tried not to show that. She was phasing, ready for whatever he threw at her. If she just distracted him for long enough for Whiteout to react, then that would work, otherwise she just had to free him. Simple.

 

OOC: Sorry about not posting in a few days, I was away.

BIC: This was not good at all. First there was just this light guy, then the wolf, now another foe has appeared. "You guys are just gonna push me to my limits, aren't you?" Phantom said to himself. "Fine." He said as he let go of the light mutant. "Alright, my hands are off of him...But you didn't say a word about YOU!" Phantom said as he reached into his weapons sack. He pulled out eight black Kunai knives, each on one of his fingers, minus the thumb. He threw them into the ground and they exploded into smoke. When the smoke faded, there were eight more Phantom Blur's standing there, all with the same smirk on their face. "Go ahead, phase yourself. I'll just wait for you to muster up the courage to fight. And don't even think about running away, I'd have you down faster than you could even dream." Phantom said. "So what's it gonna be?"

 

"Back off!" Scorch went Super Saiyan arched his body, letting loose a field of intense heat. He knew he was screwed. His heatfield would hit the wolf, but not push him away. He hoped to burn the wolf enough that the oncoming attack wouldn't last as long as the wolf planned. Goddamn X-Men!

Wolfman smirked. Knightmare teleporting into the air wasn't at all what he was going for, but he could work with it. "TAKE..." He arched back, preparing himself. Then he let out a howl, "THIS!" A beam of white energy shot out, straight towards Knightmare. It was hard to dodge while in the air after all.

 

Demetrio saw the blast shoot towards him and he held his hand out and a shell of crystals surrounded him so the blast wouldn't reach him damn my time is running low he had a smirk seeing as Daydream was coming back but he still had full control for a bit

 

Feral was blown far back, landing sharply on his side, charred slightly by the move the heat-mutant had used against them.
Come on, what is everyone doing?! he thought as he rose again slowly, despite his condition, looking around at the same time, hoping to see some sign of the others acting on the opportunity but unable to continue fighting in his state.

 

OOC: I've changed my reply as possibly that last post made her to strong to early on, I'll save that card for later. Also hopefully this might be a bit easier to reply to for you to keep the action moving.

Bree frowned, cursing her confiedence yet again and feeling quite helpless. How did she keep getting herself into these situations? She looked down, thinking as she figured out what she was going to do. She couldn't actually hurt them without stopping phasing and if she did that she was vunerable. However, what choice did she have? Everyone else could get by without being able to phase, it was just that as it was her only advantage she'd come to rely on it which couldn't be good. She'd spend time since she'd joined learning how to fight, so she could. But training was one thing, this she had to get it right. She just had to judge it perfectly between attacking and phasing to avoid their attacks. Taking a deep breath she looked up at phantom, grinned to hide her fear and spoke clearly, "I'll fight". With this she wasted no time in running straight towards one of them, unexpectedly carring on straight through them before swinging round with a high kick. All the while making sure to be unphased for as shorter time as possible.

 

"Cocky little--What!?" The girl went right through all of them and had appeared behind them, swinging around with a high kick. Phantom just barely dodged it, as her kick managed to graze the top of his head. "Rrrgh...Disperse! Tornado Maneuver!" Phantom commanded. Him, along with his clones circled around the girl mutant and began running at top speed, kicking up dirt from the ground and creating a medium-sized tornado. "Keep the tornado going. I'll deal with this one myself." The real phantom said as he moved into the tornado. The force of the twister wasn't enough to send anyone flying, but enough to obstruct their view with the dirt flying through it. Phantom couldn't see very well inside it, but that also meant that she couldn't either. "Come out, come out, wherever you are!" He said, searching through the dirty tornado.

 

Got ya. Sora thought seeing Feral get knock off of Scorch. Holding his hand out, he made a small fire ball appeared in his hand. With full knowledge that it wouldn't do much damage to him, Sora fired it right at Scorch. Hopefully it would distract him long enough for Feral to recover and help him out.

 

Mason saw his opening, and tried desperately to stand; to be able to use the opportunity to renew his attack, but it was futile. He collapsed back down onto his stomach, laying there uselessly, unable to do much other than watch. It seemed that for now, he was out of the fight.

 

When Sora saw Feral attepmt to get up and fall back down, he lost some of the confidence he had when he steped out. Great, There goes my best chance against this guy. Taking a quick look around to see if anyone else could help, he quickly found himself the only one who could fight. This isn't foing to end well for me.

Cyclops ran through the woods, no longer waiting for Logan. He had to hurry. Deadpool may be out of the game and the rest of the Brotherhood may be younger mutants, but they were deadly and facing off against the New Mutants, who were taught not to be deadly. As he ran, he felt his body start to give out. He had let too much out during that last attack against Deadpool. He saw flashes and smoke. Must be Scorch, he worried. Sure enough, within moments, he saw the signature pink hair blast back a large white lizard, whom he guessed to be Feral. "Leave my students alone!" He yelled as he let out a blast.


"Fire? Really? You use fire against ME?!" Scorch laughed as Reaper's ball of flame hit him and quickly dispersed. "What do they teach you at that school?" He was starting to regain his composure and opened his palms, centering heat into them. "Here, let me teach you something. Don't mess with Scorch!" He reared back, but before he could do anything, something hit him from the back and knocked him face down. "Who dares-?!" He yelled as he ate dirt. Wasting no time, he turned around, only to see Cyclops running at him, one hand at his visor. Goddamn it! That merc is useless! He thought as he quickly jumped to his feet. "Knightmare! Get us out of here, now!"
