Remember the last game?Well..in later 2009 M&S At the Winter Olympic Games will be released...that's an actual trailer for it.I'll keep you guys updated on the game..

This is my carecup. There are many that are like it but this one is mine.

 

Yeah..I"m gonna get the gae of course..but I bet it will be just like the last one...except with snow boarding..

 

And it's people like you that make Sonic Team think they are great devs.

 

Well..most games are okay..like Black Knight..I did enjoy the game once Sonic got faster in the end.....Unleashed...PS3/360 versions are better.

 

Unleashed for PS3/360 is still absolutely terrible just somewhat better than Black Knight because it still had some aspects of a Sonic game. Sonic isn't going to mature like Metroid, Megaman, or Zelda he is only going to get more and more child friendly. You can't compared Sonic to the great platformers like PoP, Megaman, Mario, Banjo, Ratchet, etc.

 

You have a good point..do you think they should make Sonic more mature..more teen friendly?Like that Shadow the Hedgehog stuff?I wanna hear your ideas on what they could do.

I think Sonic doesn't need to be mature but it needs to take itself more seriously. Everything it does is just open to insult and kid friendly. Such as Chip and Werehog. I would rather it go with the cutscene style of Banjo and be more humorous but it should go the way of Mario. Mario has done the same thing over and over and over again and it is still not a parody of itself. Sonic gameplay issues I think can be resolved by making movement on the track almost completely nonexistent. What I mean is I think the tracks should not hold to analog movements but they should do what unleashed started to do with the LB/RB movements but mix that with Audio Surf. It's hard to explain but imagine the track had three sections: left side, middle, and right side. This makes dodging simpler, avoid them having to give Sonic a good, non-awkward analog movements, and it would optimize speed... if you don't suck. They could still throw in things like the sled in Holosoka and that wouldn't have to use the three tracks if they so pleased. I agree with their need to switch to side-scrolling parts for they are a sh*t load of fun. Those are where they should be throwing in the speed platforming we all know and love. They have level design down since all the day levels in Unleashed were pretty well designed and different aside from the terrible controls.. and Holoska (which you cannot deny my method of the three tracks improves). All they need to improve level design is to make some of the things more... epic. Look at some of the things in Sonic 06 like running on the wave of water and more is really all you need to see my point. As far as combat goes, Adventure 2 had it down. Do not force it on us but make them obstacles or make battling them a bonus way to get to shortcut areas. Sonic needs to lose gimmicks like the bestiality, the werehog, and the guns. He needs to just be a sassy, sarcastic ******* like he was told he was in the original Sonic games just by tapping his foot and just stick to the running really fast and getting new powers from progressing. Sonic games definitely need to drop their ways of trying to extend the game. All of Unleashed they made you go back and get medals, made extremely long werehog levels, the annoying hub world, etc and it was all done in an attempt to make the game extremely long when it should be honestly only a 5 hour game with tons of replay value.

Honestly, Sonic games have potential to be absolutely great and be leading the platforming genre once more. This is my take I hope you enjoy it.

 

*claps*Yes!!!! I understand your point 100000%. I do think they should do it like that. I enjoyed Holoska and the sled moving side to side with objects and such in the way. That's enjoyable.And they even had like 2% side scrolling in Black Knight. But only in Camelot Castle 2nd times through. And in Crystal Cave and such.ButI agree with Sonic being the sassy bit** we used to know..in the old anime and such..he always used to fight with Tails if I remember. Arguements and such.Knuckles not as much as today though. They need to push some of these characters personalities back a bit...it's gonna be quite hard after what they pulled on us now though. I hope they decide to try something that we will all love... Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure 2 were hits. They had what we wanted, even free roaming in Adventure 1. Adventure 2 had a good soundtack, levels that made sense, weren't too hard and you know the rest.

 

Makes ya wonder about Sonic Team's credibility if I, a person who isn't payed to think about how to save a franchise nor design games in general, and they can't

 

Right, I don't even think they should be called Sonic Team. Ya wanna know what I"d like to see? I'd like to see fans sending in ideas and plans for Sonic games. Fanfics too and such..they could have contests and so on for all the Sonic fans. Maybe they can get inspired to make a decent came for once. I say that would be a good idea.

 

Sonic team would be ******ed enough to listen to the ideas from Sonic Passion.

 

Yep..but..if it did happen..the ratnigs for Sonic might go up.And he might come back to life by the year....oh I don't know...

Yes, what I've always wanted. Another terrible Sonic game. This franchise either needs to be fixed or killed. At the rate this is going, preferebly killed.

Well it's actually between Mario and Sonic..I thought the last game was okay..but..meh..Sonic Team needs some new ideas..

 

So? It's still developed by The Sonic Team. Ergo, the game is total crap. I don't understand how you keep buying their stuff if you know that it sucks.

 

I just watched the trailer. And I really must say.

i've had more fun watching the head on commercial looped for ten minutes.

 

"sigh" another one.. is that really necessary I mean the first one okay but it has no story and the gameplay bored me just like sonic chronicle: the dark brotherhood gameplay well I could tell i'll be another miss by sonic team -_-

 

Well...I'm a Sonic fan..been one since I was about 4 when I played the very first Sonic game...until after Sonic Adventure 2..the main console games haven't been at their best I"ll admit that...but..I'm still a true fan and I buy the games because I just do...some people can understand that.
