PC Maplestory- Good MMORPG- or bad?

It's always incredibly fun from about levels 1-11, then until around level 30 people get a bit sick of it. If you can make it over that hill then you will have a load of fun. I always loved it, but I played it differently. Rather than just kill loads of monsters 24/7 I would do every quest. It kept me focused and kept things more interesting. Unfortunately I have a Mac now and haven't played the game in ages.

 

I would play it if it was made for vista but noooo:yelling: but i will say it looks awesome

 

i started up an account on my friend's comp but i hate it. i quit at a low level.
the graphics disgust me...

 

Played it for a year.
Got bored.
Quit.
Played again.
Computer lagged.
Got deleted.
Played again.
Repeat.
Missing it.

I played on Bera.

 

Maple Story is actually pretty fun, as long as you have friends. Graphics are pretty good for a 2-D side scroller.
But the thing about the game is that it's a huuuge Grind-fest. The leveling takes so damn much.
I stopped about a year ago, I was a level 80 Ranger in Broa.

I might come back to it soon though. Who knows. I still have friends who play it.

 

Well, it got my attention...for a bit. Then I quit. TAKES TOO LONG.

 

I got an account for it an downloaded it... But god, it takes FOREVER to get even half-way done with installing on my laptop.

Unless you have friends who play who are around your level, it gets really boring really fast.

I agree with you there. nowadays, i find that a majority of people just play to get the end.

 

I personally thought it sucked. It got boring faster than almost any MMO I've ever played.

 

^This, I got it after a friend recommended it. Bored after two hours. Then there was so many other games like it, this new one La Tale, bored within 30 minutes although it does look better than Mabinogi.

 

Yeah same here, except it was my cousin that recommended it.

quit it faster than I did Maplestory

 

Ehhh...I played this for about 7 months-ish, then I got bored. I raised a level 53 or 54 White Knight and 20-something Archer [I forgot my world's name ._.]. The characters and monsters are all really cute and stuff, but the game is very repetitive of its quests and tasks. It's a little amusing at the beginning, and can be a addictive at times [so can KHV], but it's also surrounded by lots of pointless internet drama [just like KHV].

The point is, that you get tired of it.

 

It's too grindy and slow IMO. Those r the reasons y I don like it.

If I remember correctly
I had a Thief in the lower 20s on Windia before I quit.
I kept going back and trying to get into it
but as Pyro said:

If the missions were different and leveling was easier and it had more of a story or something, I'd go back

 

I don't really like the graphics, its too...sunshine and rainbows. I prefer MMORPGs with darker character designs, but I have yet to find one that is orignal/not classed based/good graphics/cheap or free/doesn't use up all my memory.
