A lot of people find this game really easy. The problem is that Sora is too good, compared to the enemies. If you leave these abilities unequipped, your battles will probably be a lot less one-sided:

    -Slide Dash
    -Dodge Slash
    -Aerial Sweep
    -Aerial Spiral
    -Aerial Finish
    -Explosion
    -Guard Break

This is a good defense against the button-mashing nature of KH2. I'm playing the game on Proud Mode with these settings, and I must say, I'm having more trouble than I did with KH1 on Expert Mode.

I thought I'd share that :P I recommend giving it a try, if you haven't already.

Yep it is a lot harder in Proud Mode. Nearly impossible and I don't even rely on all of those commands or even equip them just maybe a few, but that is it. I hate those Centaur heartless in Mulan's world when the enemy traps you in the cave and you have to defeat three of them they come at you aggressively.

Get Final Mix and beat Critical Mode at Level 1. 'Nuff said.
If you can't get Final Mix, use an Action Replay code to get the EXP-Zero in your version (it already comes included in the newest versions).

I don't have a problem with the fighting level, I just wish getting to these battles was more challenging. Like in KH1, you could actually get lost, and there were so many hidden treasure chests and puzzles.

I guess that could make the game more challenging, but after playing it so many times...I'll probably still find it pretty easy. I've finished Proud Mode three times now...I'll try it though. D:

It seemed easy, so I unequipped some of those, and it got harder. Still too easy to beat, but unequipping all of those commands makes it much more difficult on Proud Mode.

Hey, wasn't there a code for making the game harder. I mean you could still have all those skills on and the game would be hard enough.

No way, that wouldn't make any sense at all because of you have to kill heartless on some of the missions.

Just add Guard, Counterguard, Trinity Limit, and Growth Abilities(High Jump, Glide, etc.) to that list and it's good.

that's not enough, still too easy, i was able to beat everything that wasn't an optional boss very easily.

To clarify, what I meant by making it harder is not making the enemies cause you more damage, but making it harder to land a lot of hits by just pressing the X button repeatedly. With the abilities I listed, your opponents can barely get in an attack. It doesn't matter how strong they are:

    (10,000 strength) X (0 hits) = 0 HP lost

I left these out because I still like having versatility and strategy in the gameplay, but yes, that would definitely make it harder :P

Okay, then, use a code to make things harder (like you probably already did).

Or, you could try beating the game as Roxas or something, his gameplay is terrible and that should provide a challenge.

it would make it harder.. he sucks! but he can do finishers... >:) it would freeze after a while though, and it wouldn't stay in the final battle.

That would be more challenging, but no fun at all(in my opinion). Button-mashing is more fun :D
