Making an RP

ok, so I've got an idea for an RP, but I just want to check this first. What would you guys think of being in a RP based off an idea I've had for a video game? I mean, I plan on making this a real time novel and video game. The only difference would be that it isn't a linear story plot. So before I even think of trying this, what do you guys think?

 

What the name of the game your using?

 

What's the overall premise? Kill a bad guy and save a princess? Catch them all? Find four crystals? Kill vampire robot nazi zombies who are also unicorns?

 

Wut? Vampire robot nazi zombie unicorns? Legen....wait for it....dary!

 

Yeah, we're gonna need more details. xD I mean, the idea of converting something like that into a role play is fine, if that's what you're asking. There's nothing wrong with that. But I'm curious to know exactly what the mechanics would be like.​

 

hokay, well since it's based off my story, you can find the premise there. But basically, without trying to make it sound like a giant speech:
The land of Heiwa is a peaceful land. This land is goverened by 6 different cities, with a 7th being the capital of the whole land. However, this peace was not meant to last.
One day, a magician named Resheim discovered the entity known only as The Darkness. The Darkness was a being that was formed from all the hate and evil in the world of Heiwa. And now, Resheim controls The Darkness, and wishes to take control of Heiwa and rule over it with an iron fist. Towns fell to The Darkness, and soon monsters named as Shrimps began to form and destroy towns as well.
Eventually, Resheim, now calling himself Xeshirem, attacked the capital city of Hope. The Queen and her 6 warriors knew that they would not survive the attack. They sent their children, who help powers even stronger than them, to different parts of the world, to be protected until the time was right. The Queen and King, along with two other knigths, sent their children to Earth, a different dimension where Xeshirem could not get too, for now.
16 years later, Akarui Mizuiro has gone out with her friends Umi and Sakura for her 16th birthday. While visiting a museum, Akarui finds a strange mirror. It turns out that this mirror is the only portal between Earth and Heiwa. Akarui then meets two other people, who she didn't know at the time, were also from Heiwa. Without knowing what was happening, her best friends Umi and Sakura appeared and sent the two people in the world of Heiwa. It turns out that they were guardians to protect Akarui, until she turned 16 and would be able to go back and help her home. Now, Akarui must find the 5 other children and the weapons that were forged to fight the darkness, and save Heiwa.

Well, I tried not turning it into a speech, but it's hard doing that when you try to cover every important point. At least, I think I did. So basically, there are maybe 10 main characters to play as, and I was thinking about adding OCs is more than that wanted to start, but that depends if anyone wants to do it at all

 

Well, either way you look at it, this could work out very well as a role play. I have a couple of role plays with pre-assigned roles, and while people don't seem to always... like it, or feel comfortable with it, it works. People seem to prefer making their own characters if it's an original role play. But yeah.​

 

yeah, I figured. That's why I might allow some OCs, just in case. Because I don't really want to be one of those people that denies someone fun in the RP section just because there's a predeterimined amount of people
