I don't watch the anime (since the manga is much more perverted ;3) mostly because I can't find alot of episodes on the web, so I just read the manga on onemanga.com. I found this anime through a web ad that said "40 girls in one anime. 'Nuff said." So, I just had to take up on that ad and I got hooked. Does anyone else here like it?
It's quite an entertaining series. I've only got the first volume for the manga though. Don't like the anime. Just looks like rubbish.
The anime will make you go wtf at one point, completly caught me off guard. Much more events happens in the manga tho, currently I've reached #16. There was also a "remake" of the anime, which imo was less successful. Had a new student and minor changes etc.
Beat me to it... Crap. I was going to make a thread like this. :nono: But, yeah. 31 girls, and one 10 year-old Welsh boy wizard. I've got the English/Japanese Dubs on my Youtube Profile. :sly: All I can say is that I wish they didn't have to cut it so short. Granted some of the episodes were worth the watch due to them expanding one chapter into a full episode (Chisame and Ayaka's), while others (Kyoto Arc) could've at least been expanded. I think the reasons they decided to end it so quickly is because: 1.) They were still in the middle of the Mahora Festival Arc so they couldn't move forward. 2.) They didn't want it to end like the Love Hina anime where they run out of budget before getting to a second season. Then they decide to create a whole new series (not a second season) where not only does it not have anything to do with the original manga, but the plot seems a bit...tacky. Negi searching for Star Crystals and having the Pactios end up a weak/normal/strong type system. They give some new costumes and abilities via the Cosplay and Armor cards and end up giving a whole lot more fanservice than the original series did (even though most people think its the other way around). I find THAT series a bit more disappointing due to the new style of animation and deviation from the manga. And then there's the current series, the live-action one. Although I find some aspects (Baka Rangers) appealing, it just doesn't have the same feel as its anime counterparts. I know some people would argue with that, but I don't see much potential other than it probably ending up another one season series like its formers. The manga (which I've spoiled myself with scanlations) is a whole lot more interesting. All in all, I like the original series, but I wish they didn't end up being so cautious in not resolving anything except the origin of Asuna's power and Negi finally meeting his father.
Oh yeah. And, I've found out that my book store sells the manga and I've bought the first book and read it off even though I've read ALOT of chapters on onemanga.com, I think it'd be interesting to read the manga on my free time (such as on the bus, at lunch, etc) instead of having to be on the internet to read it. Although, when my friends got a hand on it and saw...certain...pages...they thought I only read it to see manga characters naked and stuff. >> I'm thinking of buying the second volume next week. Same here. Really? 'Cause I hate it when a anime goes almost completely against the manga. Ruins the whole thing, in my opinion. Like I said before, when an anime goes against the manga, it really sucks. I'll stick to the manga then.
The manga is usually the best way to start with something, somehow they tend to be more thought through, while animes are mostly a runthrough. Mostly. I always start with reading the manga. :3 Destiny's Force pretty much sums it up..
The English voice actor, Greg Ayres, was also disappointed in the way the director wanted him to talk. He argued that wasn't how a Welsh accent sounds. It's also been stated that when it finally premiered, he walked out before his speaking part. Eventually, the director allowed him to speak in the way that Greg thought was best for Negi. So, if you keep watching until the end of the series, you'll eventually notice the change in Greg's accent and voice in the later episodes.
Apparently, I look JUST like the main character. So, I was asked forced into reading the first few volumes. Pretty funny stuff. :D
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/d/db/Negima_remake_title.jpg There are a few things wrong with this. Asuna's eyes for one.
Yeah, and currently my sister is watching the anime from netflix xD I'm just gonna stick with the books since they are MUCH funnier.... Also, my 1-3 is all in one xD They are starting to do that with a lot of manga's now...
