Mafia [Mafia] The Masquerade in Salem ~ GAME OVER (MAFIA WINS)

Alright, since I'm not convinced I'm going to survive the night I want to get you guys this information in case I don't.

I am The Cop. I can confirm that Hyuge, DigitalAtlas, and Marushi are town through investigation.
And I can also confirm that Jiku Neon is mafia.

Upon discovering this I did some research and here is what I found.

Of the remaining players alive, these are the ones I do not know anything about officially:

• Beau
• godhead
• Princess <3
• Judge Sunrose
• Jayn
• Cstar
• Bite the Dust

Now, if we assume the premise that mafia never vote for other mafia is true, then we can also assume the people who have not voted for Jiku Neon thus far are our prime suspects. So, of the remaining players alive, excluding the ones I already know are innocent, the players who have not voted for Jiku Neon are:

• Beau
• godhead
• Cstar*
• Jayn*
• Judge Sunrose*

(I would highly suggest you double-check my findings for yourself. If you find anything wrong or noteworthy or have any questions please speak up, we're running out of daylight.)


*While Cstar has never voted for Jiku Neon, she has voted for herself. This does not excuse her, but I want to make sure we're all aware of that. There are multiple ways to interpret this, though given that she has never voted for Jiku Neon despite being vocal about her dislike for Jiku Neon's number system, I will assume that this is a form of misdirection. I would also like to suggest that, assuming she is mafia, her publicly and immediately disputing Jiku Neon's statistics was planned by the mafia. If it came out that Jiku Neon was mafia, the people who promoted her findings would likely be the next to fall under suspect.

*These notes were compiled earlier in the day before Jayn voted for Jiku Neon. I had initially considered Jayn to be one of the three biggest suspects, given that both she and Jiku Neon came to Beau's aid, and that Beau came to Jayn's when I suspected her. The three seemed to be protecting each other. However her voting for Jiku Neon has truly stumped me. I don't want to immediately dismiss the possibility of her voting for Jiku Neon as being a way to insure her survival. Jiku Neon already had enough votes for a lynch at the time of her vote, and I think it's possible she knew we would not want to hard lynch, effectively making her vote pointless. This is only a theory. It's possible that she is town of course, though if she is not a suspect it immediately becomes more complicated to propose the remaining four mafia members

*I wanted to hear his thoughts before I released this information, to see whom he would vote for. Though since this is being released before we hear from him, it's possible that he could vote Jiku to convince us of his innocence. Though I'm suggesting this theory, even I'm not necessarily buying into it.

Stop voting for Princess. As I said earlier, if we assume that mafia never vote for other mafia, this immediately proves Princess' innocence, and shows who of the remaining players is likely to be mafia (excluding those I have cleared above). And if that is not enough to convince you, Jiku Neon, confirmed, about-to-be-lynched mafia, is voting for Princess who has a high amount of votes. That proves innocence regardless of any suspicion. If anything, don't vote for Princess because it's not a safe way to assure we don't lose right now.

So given what I know and what can be deduced, I am fairly certain that Beau and godhead are mafia. I am somewhat certain that Cstar is mafia, though it's a tie between her and Judge Sunrose. I was certain that Jayn is mafia, though after today I'm not. I am pretty sure that Bite the Bust is town (the only person who still thinks he is mafia is Cstar). And I know that Princess is town.



If I survive the night I will come back with more information, however as I said I'm not convinced that I will make it. Given that I'm hot on Jiku Neon's mafia trail and the mafia are running out of players with low activity to kill, the person campaigning for a confirmed mafia's lynch would likely be the first to go. I'm primarily doing this to clear any confusion there might be and erase any unnecessary suspicions that could lead to the town's loss, and I don't see any reason to continue my charade if insults are going to be thrown around, I don't have time for that.

So please, all townspeople, unvote Princess immediately, and if you have any questions don't wait. I want to win.

 

but you just said that we shouldnt hard-lynch jiku. so if you knew, why wouldnt you push for a lynch? and now you've revealed your role, putting yourself at risk for a kill tonight by the mafia. your whole act is a bit two-sided and i'm not sure if i believe your statements.

 

I'm assuming he put himself out there because he knew the mafia were just going to get rid of him soon anyways, so by doing what he did now he didn't waste it.

Also since Jiku is mafia, you can assume the people that voted for her aren't.

 

I did not want a hard lynch because I wanted to hear Judge's thoughts, which I addressed in the post, and so I could reveal this if necessary. What Princess said.
And that is precisely why it is believable. Any of the players I confirmed to be townspeople will know what I say is true because of this.
If anything, you trying to discredit me is confirmation of your mafia status.

As I said in my post, theoretically, yes. I am not wholly convinced with Jayn's vote (read what I said if you're not sure) though, so I don't want to live by this premise just yet.

And here is the point where I get a strike because I am speaking after a hard lynch even though we are supposed to stop after a hard lynch occurs.

1. I have not updated my suspects list in a while. Bite the Dust has been off it for a while. I see no reason to keep him on because originally I had him on that list because I was still pissed off about the fact he voted for himself and gave us a no lynch that night.
2. I genuinely dislike Jiku's number system and I have said since the day she started that system that it seemed like a systematic way to just... kill. Rather than attempt to find anything.
3. I am having trouble believing you. I get we were under a lot of pressure this round, but until I see how this resulted, I am not going to believe you are the cop. This could have been a way to keep everyone from Princess and have them vote for Jiku. If Jiku is a town member and you guys are mafia, you just won. Right now. If Jiku is actually mafia. I will believe you. But right now I can't.

I promise you guys. I'm not mafia. I just word things stupidly and make poor choices that I can't erase.

 

Ok, looks like I only have until Nova shows up and ends this Day, so I'll try to make it quick, even though it does go against Nova's recommendation to not post after a confirmed hard lynch. It's for a good cause, at least.

@skull joke I stand by everything I said in my last post. Turns out I was right and the mafia did switch up on their killing pattern, and went for Cat~. And now, we have even more confirmation from you that Jiku is mafia. Apparently. Let me tell you, your revelation was an incredible turn of events right there. To be honest, I would've probably voted for Princess before Jiku, although both were (and still are) on my blacklist. One thing I want to point out, however, is that you're putting your money on everyone that hasn't voted for her up until now, but I beg to differ. I didn't want to keep repeating myself, so once again, I haven't been able to get a single vote in after the first two days, either because of super early hard lynches, exhausting uni work, or a combination of both. I can't say for the others, but it certainly doesn't mean I never intended to vote her.

That said, even after she's lynched, game's not going to turn into easy mode all of a sudden. We're still at a huge disadvantage not having taken out a single mafioso by Day 6 @Ars Nova someone forgot to update the thread title huh. Assuming below's right, Jiku's definitely a start, not to mention that now we could have a lot more intel to work on thanks to him. I'm just hoping the doc can miraculously save tonight's target to buy us more time.

Well that was freakin' fascinating. Below, this info will go to good use. I will honor your sacrifice to my last breath.

 

It's not a recommendation, it's a rule. And no, it's not a good cause; part of the point of the game is sometimes losing the chance to talk. Everyone who posted after Jiku voted for herself has received a warning, which for one of you may be resulting in a replacement; I hope I won't have to restate my position on this.

Jiku Neon's eyes cannot be seen, but suddenly her lips curl into a bitter smirk.

"Shit. And we were doin' so good, too."

She starts walking towards a thin table at the far end of the room, where the gun rests.

"Never thought I'd get offed in a ratshit place like this..."

Slowly, deliberately, she reaches for the gun. In a fit of panic, the rest of you rush towards her...

"But you sons of bitches won't have the pleasure."

...but before you can reach her she turns, brings the barrel to her temple, and pulls the trigger.

Jiku Neon has been lynched. She was Barcelona "Barry" Busto, acting capo and muscle-in-chief of the Salem clan. The boss ordered her to keep an eye on the soldiers tonight and make sure they didn't muck things up; guess she'll be watching from hell now. She was aligned with the Mafia, and had no special abilities.

For a moment the rest of you are speechless. Jiku's maskless, lifeless face stares up at you, still smirking, inducing a strange mix of emotions. After a moment there is an audible, unified sigh. One of you throws up their arms and whoops excitedly. The lot of you dare to hope, for the first time in a week, that you might live to see another year.

You rise before the sun this morning. With renewed purpose you push briskly into the hall, where you join the others in a march for the foyer. We got one, you think to yourselves. We finally got one. This isn't over. But the body that awaits you gives pause to your parade...

DigitalAtlas has been murdered. He was Bartholomew Crowninshield Endicott, uncle to the late Miss and former U.S. Secretary of the Navy. A decorated war hero and treasured member of the family, his passing will be a point of great mourning for the whole of Salem. He was aligned with the Town, and had no special abilities.

With heavy hearts and a few muffled sobs, you lay your fallen friend gently on a table and drape a cloth over him. There is a long moment of silence before your energy comes back in a rush, and you immediately take to deliberations, your hearts set that his death will not have been in vain.

I think I have a pretty good idea why that new rule was made.... if it wasn't obvious enough with what happened the day before.
