Out of curiosity, what do you mean by "minus the accused?" Surely, they'll be allowed to offer an argument in defense?

 

As far as suspicious behavior goes... Man, this sucks they seem so nice and genuine.... Marushi for points I listed earlier (such activity to make sure we don't get a mafia kill so they can win?), and Cstar...

However, if we want a safe kill.... Jayn has been viewing the heck of out of this thread, and I accused her of being mafia- nothing.

It's the tipping point where I can be absolutely certain the mafia wanted the town against me and wasting votes on me.

 

What I hope to do is have the list and let everyone put their reasoning/questions forward before the accused respond, just so they can see it all and address it in one go. Otherwise a question might get lost in the chaos and make them look more suspicious...

Honestly, whether genuine or not... this behavior is why I suspect you in my five.

 

If one were to look back earlier in this thread they would fine that I had previously voted for Jiku. Clearly I wanted to vote against her again because of my previous suspicions.

Well whether you are or not, it makes you stand out as trying to come off as harmless. It could be deception. It could be genuine and your mafia stance is why you stayed back for so long. I don't know.

This is a good point you raise about me. My defense is as follows: I was brought into suspicion because I viewed the thread constantly and said nothing. I don't intend to make the same mistake.

May I ask why you are suspicious of me? I would like to know so I can do my best to try and prove that I shouldn't be.

 

{ It's all good. I actually have mostly stable internet now, but now that I'm able to participate more I'm actually feeling kind of awkward jumping in like HEY GUYS WHAT'S UP.

I agree with the thing about Jiku not being a huge threat with the way she goes about things - though I'm not sure I dig the latest scoreboard thing, I liked the random way better and it's kind of weird that she just decided to change it [ I'll go back and re-read her reasons for this ].

Again, I'm going to have to go back through the thread and catch up with the detailed progression of things since I'm able to pay more attention now but from my understanding DigitalAtlas has been pretty vocal, but I don't exactly think those who are active should be executed for contributing to the game [ I mean in terms of that being the reason they're suspicious ] - and it's not like it's against his nature / personality to speak up, there's nothing really out of character about that but there could be something I'm missing so I'll look through again after this.

Contrary to killing the active, I don't think going after the inactive folks with that being the only reason they're suspicious is the smartest thing either because we may just be killing off quiet townies who aren't really hurting us and basically throwing the game to the mafia. We don't have many kills left here to do that with.

The only person I have ever really felt totally iffy about is still BiteTheDust. Like, he's still the only person to really BE suspicious and he's still not helping us. Why would we go out of our way to kill someone who may or may not be suspicious and throw out all of these theories when there's someone who admitted to messing with us just because and only loosely 'went back on it' because we didn't end up killing him then ? ? ??? ? If he's mafia, awesome. If he's not, he wasn't exactly that loyal to us and he actually did something off putting - it's not just the fact that he's inactive that makes him suspicious.

I feel bad about being wrong with TB. I don't want to make the same mistake again, but even so, TB offed himself in the beginning because he chose to be random and he came up. BTD threw us for a loop just to mess with us and I still don't think that's cool.

There's some other stuff worth mentioning too but I'm hungry to I'll be back.

It occurred to me earlier today while eating much candy that Beau never actively tried to get us to turn our votes from Tale. He never gave alternatives or reasons for not voting him, but rather said that he thought we were making a mistake. This could be me reading into nothing or it could be some clever misdirection. Align yourself with the now dead townie when in actuality you did nothing to help. And he's been extremely non-committal the entire game. I get that it's tough to draw a line between personality and style of play here but that's just so suspicious this late in the game.

I'm not officially coming out as suspect to Beau and I'm not necessarily suggesting we vote him but I think it's something to consider.

Last round saw a 9 page increase in the thread length, the most in any round so far. As such, you'll see some bigger discrepancies in the post numbers than ever. The trend remains that mafia only have killed low posting members but the town has killed its first member with over 20 posts. We now have six members with more than 30 posts, eight with under 10 posts, six between 10 and 20 posts, and one between 20 and 30 posts. The most dangerous place to be is between 20 and 30 votes with a 100% mortality rate followed by the sub 10 post range with a 75% mortality rate.

You may have noticed that mafia points have not made a return, because I'm making some changes to the system to try and best reflect who is doing the town the least good. This includes a lesser penalty for voting for a townsperson and a higher penalty for not voting, but this is based loosely on risk analysis so it will take some time to complete. So it will appear along with any other requested data in the next installment.

but i did though ?? you guys said that one of the reasons you suspected and eventually lynched him was because when you called him out and asked him to explain himself and w/e that he never replied and such but i said that he was possibly busy ??? Jiku seems to be putting a ton of thought into the whole number thing, which obviously not many people are even taking note of. That isn't to say that she is wasting her time, like I said before. She is either the town MVP or a mafia trying way too hard to look good.

Beau and Marushi are quite....passive. Overly passive in my eyes.

Other people I have suspected have been anywhere from Cat to Hyuge to Jayn.

One thing about the "inactive" people, while they can be inactive as much as they want during the day phases, we do not know if they are super active during the night phases. Hell they could easily be one of the better mafia members. So right now I am unsure, I may unvote Jiku at some point but as of now, my vote stands.

 

of the remaining players, not including myself obv, here is what i think

beau -- tough. i'm honestly not sure but i'm thinking mafia
godhead -- i mean, he's said so little. if 5 of us are mafia i would pick him as one of the 5 just to fill it out.
princess -- eeeh. im not necessarily suspicious but im not convinced of innocence either
judge -- i don't remember exactly what but there was something a while ago that made me think he's clean
jayn -- yeah im p. sure she's mafia
digitalatlas -- do not suspect
burnitup -- suspect
cstar -- either she's the best, most convincing mafia to ever exist or she's town. too earnest and helpful to be mafia imo
bitethedust -- almost certain he's not, though there is still an iota of remaining suspicion
cat -- still kinda suspect, though the reasons given against are p. convincing
hygue -- do not suspect
marushi -- do not suspect
jiku -- 50/50

so if 5 of us are mafia, my top 5 picks in descending order of certainty
