I thought that perhaps the analysis was intentionally flawed to point people in the wrong direction. im not necessarily suspecting Jiku but I'm not buying into the chart either. mainly because this game becomes much less fun when it's turned into a math problem

 

One thing I was thinking about last night (or rather this morning...yay 3 am) if Jiku gets people to constantly reference "those numbers" then naturally we probably wouldn't actually vote for the person who composed them. Yes I get that anyone could have done it, but why vote off someone being "useful". Just rambling here.

 

i am andrew lol and yes my internet activity has been cut short as of late bc of school and such so i'm glad naomi brought up that point along with lux. if i'm honest, i didn't even realize that my inactivity would be the possible death of me [ even though i read jiku's math note things ] so i'm actually really glad y'all came out and said that. i can't even defend myself apparently lol

but to actual important things, i'm a little indecisive. i haven't voted for anyone as of yet bc i'm kinda scared to be responsible for the death of a townie like look at where that's gotten cat and cstar and such [ to name a few, not calling y'all out ] like it makes you look suspicious lol imo i'd rather just be neutral throughout most until the numbers start to get sorta small [ like at the ten range maybe idrk ] bc i don't want the deaths of innocents hanging over my head

and yes i do realize that not voting also helps the mafia which sucks but i mean think about it like there's so many more of us townies than the mafia so like we'd probs end up killing more innocents yk ?? like i know all y'all point fingers as the slightest shred of evidence and isn't that what gets the townies killed ?? i'm not saying that no one should vote ever [ bc then nothing would ever get accomplished ] but i'm trying to say that perhaps remaining inactive and indecisive isn't always a bad thing.

with aaaaaaaaall of that said i'm growing more and more suspicious of tale and cstar but it's still not enough to make me want to vote for them besides all everyone's been saying is just speculation it doesn't even sound that solid to me lol

 

In any game, while being a "floater" can help you in the short term, it can bite you in the ass in the long run. For example, if the next few people that got lynched were mafia, then we are free to just vote off the floaters with no argument whatsoever.

That's not to say that you are wrong for having a life, but if you have the opportunity to post and discuss things, it could really help you and the townies. Saying that you are going to just try to stay off the radar until the very end is a good way to get a target on your back.

 

@princess ♥ i don't see how remaining neutral or being a "floater" can hurt tho like if i don't do any harm then why would people want to hurt me?

 

Well on the off chance you are mafia, you'd be an easy vote because you don't have many actions to back up a reason for people to not vote for you. (No offense) But then again, this IS glorified guessing game and for all I know, I'll be killed soon enough. So take my advice with a grain of rice salt

I look at the game differently. I said it before, talk is cheap, what I meant by that is I'm ignoring the content of people's posts as far as voting is concerned because it doesn't matter. Certain moves must be made by each side to win and so each side can be distilled to an algorithm or model. Since this is possible, I want to logically and mathematically solve the game through thorough heuristic analysis and knowing I'll win rather than stumbling through it by oversimplified holistic rationalization and hoping I'll win. If I want to talk to people, I can go out and talk to people. For me, competence is the enjoyment I derive from a game not socializing. I play to win and I want to win in a way that I can repeat every time. I want to break the game so that there's no point in playing it to know I'd win. I'm pretty far off from that and I don't think I'll reach it within this game, but that's the end goal.

tl;dr It's more fun if it's math.

You can't expect everyone to be a Saint when it comes to games like this. One thing i didn't calculate in what i said before was people just naturally being selfish.

That being said, if Jiku is showing signs of selfishness, perhaps that could be a lead to the mafia. When your numbers are down you need to watch your back even more.

and what i meant was that i'm not going to look to the charts for every move i make. i may consult them from time to time (like i already have) but i'm not going to wholly subscribe to them.

 

As Sfor-chan said, if your side wins you win. It's not a matter of personally doing everything or even anything but laying out a foundation on which any player can pick it up and win. Like a recipe for a dish that anyone who can read it can cook. I want to win because I want to beat the game, just as there's white and black in chess there's mafia and town in this game and you should be able to win from either side with a proper understanding of the game.

You can do that, but you're not making it easier for me.

 

Considering you two could be on opposite sides, it only makes sense to make things a bit more difficult.

 

Okay, a couple things to note...

-Jiku's chart is hardly worth calling distracting. It's numbers. Factual. Numbers. A possible guideline to trust in if we're in a jam. I don't think that's worthy of voting her- as we said, she's harmless to us thus far and if she's not mafia, that chart will help us a fuck-ton more than it will ever hurt us. Jiku puts herself in a very risky position with it too- if her numbers are skewed then we know to vote for her. She has to be honest with it and take into account suggestions while making a solid effort to debunk bad suggestions if they could hurt what she feels is accuracy.

-We can vote Beau to get rid of that text

-I saw Tale_Wind viewing the thread even though we called him out. He went from nervously trying to make people laugh and being vocal about each vote he got to VANISHING and not talking about it

-Marushi was accused and his defense was poor, if it was a defense at all. It shows absolutely no contribution to the town's efforts

-Princess Luxord adopted a position that bailed immediately after being accused, he may have gotten a raw deal but it won't change his position

-We can seriously vote Beau to get rid of that text

-On request, Jiku posted a kills to post ratio. Let's pull a suspect from here too as I still feel this is where as killing off people and being silent is going to be a big tip off... That said, Judge Sunrose or Jayn maybe?

I say we should limit our suspects to these people. Agree? Disagree?
