I'm going to wait a bit longer before voting for Cat or anyone else. I don't want a repeat of the last day. If everyone jumps on the Bandwagon, it's not changing anything. Princess ♥, you were talking about how it was suspicious that everyone followed me without little explanation. My suspicions for Krowley were no more than Below's for Cat, and yet there's already a small group of people backing him up.

    Risky game.

Yeah I was just thinking that lol.
And I was also the one campaigning against other nearly confirmed townies.
I'm surprised no one's voted for me yet tbh

However, while Krowley did nothing of significance ever, Cat has contributed multiple times now, one of which got a townie lynched, and almost two.
I'm not trying to convince you to vote for her yet, I'm just throwing that out here. there's a difference. and i had a little more to go on

I read over that post, and while those numbers are helpful in terms of posts and such, I don't necessaroly think the whole "mafia points" system does justice to the leaps of faith some of us have been doing.
Also, you suspect me because I jumped on the bandwagon fast and contribute a lot? Honestly, I disagree with the logic of choosing to kill an active member first, but eh, I can see both sides of that.
Not gonna throw my vote out there yet, but I do still have my suspicions.

Update: Looking back at the numbers I've come up with a few benchmarks for determining show mafia is, because I realize that the raw numbers don't make any sense at all. So, I'm aware that it's a flawed system, duh, it's the first build. I'll be rebalancing it as I go. Anyhow, a negative score automatically confirms townie status in my opinion because it means you have killed more mafia than townsfolk. A score of zero means the user isn't a threat one way or the other because they either do nothing or net nothing. Now positive scores need to be looked at in relation to how many days have past. Now, the scale is clearly incomplete because we have yet to kill a mafia and only have 3 days worth of votes but think about it, the max score right now is 7 while the max possible score is 9. A score of 9 after 3 days would mean killing one townie per day. However a score of 9 after 6 days means you could have done tons of things so think of it in context. So what confirms mafia status? Well, nothing so far. It's totally possible for a townie to have a high mafia score early on because the odds are so out of their favor. The reason why I released the numbers and even the mafia score wasn't to push people in any one direction, it was to see what you thought of it so far and crowdsource improvements to the system. No one has really helped me with that so far. Regardless, I'm still going to start voting by the numbers from today, it just might not necessarily be based on the mafia point system yet.

HOLY CRAP I'M ALIVE AND JIKU MADE A HUGE POST

Cat~ hasn't really done anything to show she's mafia, and she came to my aid. That's important because if the mafia really were setting me up for a fall, then she would've turned on me quickly and promoted my lynching. She could be mafia, we all could, but I don't see it.

I'd like more data on this, please. Who falls where. As far as I'm concerned, the inactive controlling the vote, as you said, points to people in the mafia being in the inactive group, rather than the active group.

I'm not gonna lie, I think Luxord might be a part of the mafia. There's certainly strength in numbers, and watching us flail about as we try to snag one of them would certainly give them an advantage when it comes to voting (first names that come to mind would likely be the ones who've posted more, throwing suspicion off of them and onto people like Jay and I). Basilisa left the game, which is understandable, but Luxord took their spot, so if they were mafia he's only inherited the role. Granted, he's been in the group to post a bit more, but that may be because we've started pointing fingers at the inactive/lurking group and he wanted to keep himself hidden in plain sight.

Still not certain, but I do have my list of likely suspects. Just wanted to throw that out there.

Members by Kill Contributions and Post Count
    Cat~: 2 - 31
    Mystic: 2 - 6
    Cstar: 1 - 39
    hyuge-of-the-twilight: 1 -26
    skull joke: 1 - 34
    tale_wind: 1 - 27
    Bite the Dust: 1 - 11
    Digital Atlas: 1 - 28
    Judge Sunrose: 1 - 3
    Lana del Jayn: 1 - 3
    Princess<3: 1 - 3
    TwilightBlader: 1 - 4
    Jiku Neon: 0 - 5
    Marushi: 0 - 9
    burnitup: 0 - 11
    Krowley: 0 - 5
    Senpai: 0 - 7
    Spike: 0 - 5
    basilisa: 0 - 2
    Beau: 0 - 2
    House: 0 - 0

There are two members that have voted for two confirmed townsfolk. Mystic and Cat~ with 6 and 31 posts respectively. Both are alive. There are 10 members that have voted for one confirmed townsfolk. Cstar(39 posts), hyuge-of-the-twilight(26 posts), skull joke(34 posts), tale_wind(27 posts), Bite the Dust(11 posts), Digital Atlas(28 posts), Judge Sunrose(3 posts), Lana del Jayn(3 posts), Princess<3(3 posts), TwilightBlader(4 posts). Only TwilightBlader has been killed in this group. There are nine members who have not voted for a confirmed townsfolk at all. Jiku Neon(5 posts), Marushi(9 posts), burnitup(11 posts), Krowley(5 posts), Senpai(7 posts), Spike(5 posts), basilisa(2 posts), beau(2 posts), House(0 posts). Krowley, Senpai and House are dead from this group and basilisa has retired.

Now, if you don't see a very strong trend it's because there isn't one. Post count doesn't seem to be very heavily tied with how many townsfolk you've killed. So while it is bad to have low activity as far as your survival chances, it doesn't seem to be indicative of mafia like behavior.

Nova messages me on skype asking if I want in, I say yes. Nuff said.

If you want to vote for me, go for it. I don't plan on making it to the end of the game, but I hope and am going to try to do what's best for the townies' survival. If me going helps that in some way, go for it.[DOUBLEPOST=1397850678][/DOUBLEPOST]Also (yay double posting) I tend to post a lot in every thread I am a part of. My old account had close to 3k posts at least two years ago, which was near the top. I like to post, thought that was obvious.

So I took a power shower and decided to do a lot of thinking about this thread (it was hawt). This indeed is a glorified game of chances. Except there is one move you can make that isn't a chance. It's pretty much a guarantee.

    My vote: Princess ♥ (myself)

I know this is risky as fuck, but hear me out. In our situation as explained in the first post we are 3:1 here. I am probably suspected by at least a few people for being mafia or whatever, big deal its a part of the game. I am a fill in who is posting a lot more than the person before me and is now more or less.

As posted above people seem to enjoy numbers. Well let me throw some at you really quick. Let's say there are 8 mafia members and 24 townies. If a mafia member were to vote for himself while already suspected of being mafia, that is a huge blow to the mafia's chances at winning this game. Now I am aware that in the rules I am not allowed to vote for myself as some way of throwing the game for my team. That isn't what I am doing at all. This is a simple gesture for you all to think a little bit more about what you are doing. On the off chance that everyone jumps on the "vote for lux" bandwagon and I get voted off. This shows the townies a few things. One of which is who I was aligned with and if my information can even be trusted. Another piece of information to be learned is that the whole bandwagon thing NEEDS to stop, otherwise we are just going to rush through this game and run around with our heads cut off.

If nobody other than me votes for me (awkward sentence) then it proves one of two things. Either I am a mafia member taking a gigantic risk that could even throw the game for them, or the mafia didn't bite the bait and they are scared (figuratively).

Remember, even if you die in this game, it isn't over. If your team makes it through then that is a win. You can't play this game selfish. It's also a lot easier to play as a team player when you have a bigger team, so with that in mind you could say that Mafia members might just play a bit more selfishly. Sorta like. . . .[DOUBLEPOST=1397856770][/DOUBLEPOST]This

[DOUBLEPOST=1397856854][/DOUBLEPOST]On the outside that may seem like a rational way of thinking. Or he just really doesn't want to die because if he does, his team has an even harder shot at winning. Either or.

    Enjoy the plot twists

I'm voting for Cstar. And I'm not giving a long-winded explanation.

Even with all of this going on, which has suddenly gotten a bit overwhelming; I think I'm going to stick with my original plan to vote for those that aren't posting. Originally, it was going to be Jayn, but after viewing Jiku's totals I changed my mind. But all you people that are just voting for yourselves are not helping the situation. We won't get anywhere if we've got 6 different people with votes. We'll end up getting a No Lynch and that is a waste of a night. Especially considering the fact that we are on day four and rapidly running out of Townies.

I really need to stop doing this, I should just wait a few minutes and view everything over and then vote. unvoting myself and I am voting for Marushi.

Here's a thing I have noticed, Marushi was one of the first people to jump in and talk, and she messed around accusing every other person who talked as being a member of the mafia which... I know was just a joke to keep things warmed up at the beginning. However, I have not heard much from Marushi since, except on the second day when she jumped on the Bite the Dust bandwagon, and then well... we haven't heard from her since.

I am a little off-put by it because we haven't seen her since then.

i meant i want to at least kill one before we lose because we are doing absolutely abysmally atp but okay

and woow this just turned into a giant cluster

some fair points were made about cat and im questioning my vote for but im not ready to back away from it yet.

and you cant exactly say that bandwagoning needs to stop. that's how you win the game. and you also cant say that everyone should come to a consensus totally on their own because that's how no lynches happen. people dont always agree. the name of the game's persuasion.

and voting for yourself already caused immense amounts of unnecessary confusion in the game i.e. WE KILLED A GUY WHO VOTED FOR HIMSELF FOR NO REASON WTFFFFFF IM STILL MAD

also, voting for someone without giving any reason at all does nothing to help us win. that's what gets us no lynches, because no one shares their thought processes causing everyone to just do their own thing. if you have your suspicions but don't have anything to go on yet, build a case for why you're voting that person and people with similar suspicions will back you. the best way to work towards a town victory is to work together.

mmmmmmm something always seemed off about her posts here. I wasn't ever truly suspicious of her being mafia, but I was getting weird vibes.
how bout we call her in here and shake things up a little?[DOUBLEPOST=1397859144][/DOUBLEPOST]I should also say, I frequently see her viewing the thread but she never posts. Those people are what get me. They seem super suspicious but after accusing one and it leading nowhere I'm not sure what to think

    Hey now. I had compiled plenty of evidence. My character may have been a drunk and very unco-operative, but he did so much. He did so much planning and research, analyzing each person's posts and motives against one another. He already had several highly probable suspect listed below;

I would show you, but I'm dead now.

SO DID ANYONE ELSE NOTICE TALE_WIND SUDDENLY DISAPPEARED?
    Your plan?! XD
Well this is an interesting set of choices.... I like Cstar's reasoning, but Beau....

For now, it's a good idea. Obviously we'll have to sort out who among the active people is mafia, but if she's not halting us from making decisions then she's not a threat.

    Yeah, that gets me too...

    i hadn't but good point
he's been suspected by many people since the game started.
think we should go after him today?
im willing to lay off cat for today if we can make a good case for pursing him and get enough people to vote for him
