I would like to give it some more time, see if anyone else changes their vote, if not, then just lynch the empty spot.

 

weeeeeeeeeell the way I see it, if Beau really was a mafia member then its like the Mafia is down a person due to it being an empty spot that is not doing anything, regardless if we lynch or not. If he's a towny then we're down a notch.

Gamewise I guess i'd be best to off the empty spot however

As Beau has left and it's unclear as to whether their position will be filled, I'll unvote. Going to wait for a bit to give out a new vote.

 

To me an empty slot is useless (for both town and mafia) so on the off chance he is/was mafia them having one less player due to someone bowing out is almost the same as killing them off.

If we can vote off another mafia member then that'll be two down for now, then when nova finds a replacement we can just vote that person off. However if they are town then they get to live another day. Now all we need to do is figure out who is the next best vote.

 

I believe there is still one other person (Midnight?) on the replacement list, and from my understanding lynching the empty spot is still equivalent to removing the specific character from the game (i.e. if Beau were hypothetically mafia but gone and we lynched the slot it would still be equivalent to lynching Mafia, and same goes for Town).

Interesting strategy! But we have to be a bit careful about this. Assuming that we do not lynch Beau's role itself, the new player could play the role in a more distinct way that could show the evidence that was built up for Beau in a different light. Perhaps even with the knowledge of Beau having been Prime Suspect #1 due to how the others perceived his actions.

Do you have any specific people in mind? Especially since we are all working out what to do about the sudden departure of our friend.

 

The thing is, and this is just my guess here so take it lightly... I don't think Beau would have left the game if he knew he was just going to be voted while being a mafia member. Things tend to seem personal when you are falsely accused and maybe that was what he was thinking. So perhaps he was a town member, which is why I am leaning towards voting someone else off.

I mean, if he knew that he was found out (as a mafia member) he would have just waited a few days and boom he would have been gone anyways. Why rush it and leave the game? I don't know I think that points to him being a town member.

I actually prefer waiting for the replacement because if both Beau and the replacement seem like mafia members then that is an even safer bet. I mean if we are going to be working with more evidence then why rush the vote, there are plenty of other members that could be mafia.

 

Which is why it would be better to go with one of the other members, but we have to come to a decision soon because we only have 4 hours left. We should allow midnight the opportunity to play. I agree with Lux's reasons. Mafia don't usually get upset about being found out; it's the town who feel the most alone when they're targeted.
